Cool review man! I think these types of guitars are for the diehard fan and that's fine! Nothing wrong with wanting to have something one of your guitar heros had a hand in recreating to make a little money with. I tend to be pretty picky with signature stuff tried it a few times but never...

EVPXM - Suggestions for getting it off the floor

I have 3 different sets of poles, the really short ones are for my room and are just an extension pole that I cut down from some old bent up full sized speaker stands. Really this is news to me, I mean it is a floor wedge first and foremost but it does have a pole cup and I have been using them like this for a few years as either a stage wash or FOH on a sub. If they weren't meant to be placed on a pole then why did EV put pole cups and EQ setting for a pole...

EVPXM - Suggestions for getting it off the floor

I think you are worrying about something that is not going be an issue. I use my stands for small shows as stage wash and run them at pretty good volumes with no issues at all. If it bothers you that much you could try wrapping the end of the pole with some electrical tape to take up some slop.

The Redsound has more clarity but the Laney has better bottom end but is a tad dark. Not surprising considering the differences in cab size and speakers. I really like the traditional look of the Laney! but the top end clarity of the Redsound is pretty evident. How did you record the cabs?

As far as listing it's great! Nothing like being enveloped in a sound experience. I will say setting up some effects to be extreme width doesn't always work out that great. As to setting up it's pretty basic I run stereo effects after the cab block make sure they are set up to run stereo!

Fender Tone Master FR-10 vs. Redsound MF.10 Mini Review

I didn't really have any issues. I did add op 3 to run my IEM and that did push 8 of my presets over the top so I had to lose an effect in those presets that I wasn't really using that much anyway so I was ok with it. Switching most of my AC TB amps to the AC 30 Brilliant was worth it alone!

At least in this vid you can see that the pickups have actually been changed out! To be honest the sounds aren't that drastically different and definitely very subtle. I think if you get close to a PAF style the rest you can play with volume and tone or pre and post EQ and get where you want...

Steve Morse, what you can’t do with amp modelers. What do you think?

I say let people play what they want, if you dont like it don't play it! That's the whole idea is to have that choice. I also think the differences in the interactions of a pre/power amp, and transformer / speaker vers running a full range setup is where the two camps differ.
