I have/had the smaller Amphion speakers sound amazing but not enough SPL for guitar IMHO. Running larger Dynaudio now that get loud enough. I suggest running a limiter to help protect the levels. I run a light one on my that input that only kicks in when the level is really hot.

I just wanted to add:

My favorite mode of playing loud is to have the Axe playing thru monitors at a decent level (90+) and then also have a stereo output driving my 2x12 THd cabinet that I rewired for stereo with two different speakers loaded in it. The fidelity plus the thickness/power/amp in the room of the cabinet - I just love it.

to do a full amp reset, simply rotate the unit 90 degrees clockwise. DO NOT ROTATE COUNTERCLOCKWISE, IT WILL DELETE YOUR PRESETS

Just to update. Tweeter was definitely blown...replaced that. Power amp left side wasn't working either...so I would imagine it stemmed from that. Anyway - that's repaired too and everything is better than before.
