Wait you said you are on 15.05. Editor support is the same for 15.05 and 15.06. 15.06 was just bug fixes. Passive eq was added in 15.05.

I would imagine patches created with 15.06 may not be compatible with 15.05 because of the new passive eq.

When you switch the front and rear input select you turn on/off the digital processing that compensates for front input analog processing that lowers the noise floor. I imagine you are hearing that.

    Axe Fx XL_MFC 101 MKII+ Roland FC 100

something like a midi soft step, Gordius LG2 would take up a lot less space horizontally. Even a second mfc-101 would. Personally, I would stick with one unit with more buttons. Liquid- foot+ pro+ or the RJM Mastermind GT/22. Pricier for sure but more unified. If I did go with something like...

Can the Pedal Jack send an output signal to turn on a distortion pedal?

Personally I always put my real drives in the front input. The front input has soft limiter so you do not need to worry about digital clipping near as much, and it has a lower perceived noise floor. Also, when using fuzz pedals, the tend to like an unbuffered signal into the pedal. Putting a...

    Axe Fx XL_MFC 101 MKII+ Roland FC 100

Yes, that shouldn't be an issue, You would need to run the fc100 into the MIDI in of the Axe-fx II XL. That's a lot of floor space though. also, you would still not free up the bottom 5 switches (except in reveal mode), unless you tookthe MFC-101 out of Axe-fx Mode. If you want more switches, I...

Listening to mp3 and playing to it using AF2's headphone out

You can use the fxloop block and plug into input 2 with Ipod. place the fx loop all by itself in the last column with nothing connect to the left. That will pass input 2 to output 1.

    No d/e/f xl bank access

Because that is how total sync works from the Axe-fx. It sends the preset's name and effects states to the MFC-101. For the MFC-101 to send the data to the Axe-fx, it needs to send a program change. That program change needs to be stored somewhere (in presets on the MFC-101). The way around...

Direct FOH - Delay Block Question

He is talking about before and after the fx loop though. The fx loop is before the amp in either case. At least that is how I understand he is explaining it. I think he send is send the delay signal back on itself increasing the mix.
  33. javajunkie

    delay + fxl behaviour?

It has to be something with that routing in the switchblade. Create a preset with just an fxloop. delay is the same before or after. At least it is on my Axe-fx. It sounds like the send and return are sending dome of the delay back into the signal so when it is before it takes half the mix and...

Can you control input gain on fx loop?

I leave mine up all the way as well (I have some presets with fx loop before amp others after). To keep clipping issues down and allow for unity gain with my effects in the fx loop, i lowered all my amp block levels by ~-10db. I was running fairly hot prior to that.
