    Let’s see those Les Pauls!

I sold most of my collection. Rotator cuff tendonitis severely limits my ability to play. I almost sold this one, but as soon as I opened the case I knew it wasn't going to happen. 2017 Music Man Valentine NAMM BFR. Only 92 were made. I have had this for three years and the drop dead gorgeous...

Anyone own a Schecter? I just bought my first one and I'm not impressed.

The damage looked to me like it left the factory in that condition. If so, it was missed by everyone along the way. Hopefully they will go over the replacement thoroughly. It would be truly embarrassing to find a problem with the next one.

Anyone own a Schecter? I just bought my first one and I'm not impressed.

The seller forwarded the photos to Schecter and they offered to send a replacement. Keeping my fingers crossed. I was basically just looking for a decent quality instrument with a factory piezo, but most of what I have found is way over my present budget.

Anyone own a Schecter? I just bought my first one and I'm not impressed.

This is a brand new C-1 E/A ($850 retail). See attached photos. You can't NOT see this defect every time you pick it up to play. As soon as I saw this I put it back in the box and requested a refund.

How to keep guitar from sliding?

Well, that harness was about the most uncomfortable contraption I have ever used. A sheet of Con-Tact shelf liner works well.

How to keep guitar from sliding?

I'm going to try the Neotech Harness. I don't have high expectations, but my curiosity insists I try it. It looks gimmicky, it's expensive, and it probably won't fit well, but then again it might work. I can always return it and try something else. Lots of great suggestions here. :)

How to keep guitar from sliding?

    Thoughts on the Blueridge BR-341?

After much agonizing I bought the Blueridge and I have no regrets. Neck/body gap on new MIM Strat

Neck/body gap on new MIM Strat

I recently purchased a new MIM strat online. It has a very noticeable 1/32" gap between the neck and left side of the body. Fremen Quantum 2.0 presets

My OCD compels me to ask: For user cab #28 MR 1960AX-G12M25 mix 02, did you use the raw or MPT IRs? The file names are the same so there's no way to tell from the screenshot. I have to add these are the best presets I have ever used. Outstanding!

I'm in the market for an "0" style acoustic guitar for old-timey fingerstyle blues. I'd like to keep the cost under $1000. The Blueridge BR-341 looks interesting. Are the saddle and bridge pin upgrades something I should consider? I might also be interested in a pickup for plugging into the...

A word of warning if it hasn't already been mentioned elsewhere: The WAV files in the purchased package are 44.1k. Cab-Lab can covert them as-is, but they will not sound the same, so be sure to convert them to 48k first. The RAW mix files are stereo, so you will also need to convert them to mono.

Well, the guitar is now assembled and it was explained to me that the inconsistent coloration in the photo was due to the carve top (didn't occur to me at the time, but they way they explained it, it made sense). Suhr assured me the guitar is drop-dead gorgeous. Should I dare to hope that the...

I could regale you with a half-dozen snarky replies, but suffice to say when all else fails, a call to the credit card company always works for me. Hopefully it won't come to that. Still waiting to hear back from Suhr on my last inquiry (waiting two days now).
  61. jma

Not impressed with Suhr or their dealers (a rant)

The cherry on top of my cake of irony is that my dealer recently won a "Dealer of the Year" Award from Suhr. I put my deposit down on 11-17-13. It really seems like a crapshoot how quickly and in what order these guitars get built. I just received an image of the guitar body after paint and...

Not impressed with Suhr or their dealers (a rant)

Yes, I specifically asked for the roasted neck. At the time I placed the order I wasn't thinking about the process involved, I just thought it had a great look. I just found out that it does help stabilize the wood and the neck comes with a "limited lifetime warranty" (not transferable if I sell...

Not impressed with Suhr or their dealers (a rant)

I posted a message there once a couple months ago in response to my dealer boasting about a 3 month wait time, but only because it hit a nerve. Suhr's customer support manager saw my reply and I've been dealing with him directly since then.

Not impressed with Suhr or their dealers (a rant)

I emailed my contact at Suhr to get his opinion on the birdseye. I really don't want to switch, but I don't want any more problems either. The neck is finished, so it may not even be an option.
  65. jma

Not impressed with Suhr or their dealers (a rant)

Dang, sounds like more potential problems for me. Neither the dealer nor anyone at Suhr gave me any indication there might be a problem with the birdseye maple. I did a quick Google search and there is a lot of debate on this. General consensus is that there is a small chance you may have...

One of the things that really got my goat was when the dealer posted on the Suhr forum boasting that they could presently deliver a custom built guitar in about 3 months.
