Planetshakers - Turn It Up - Guitar Cover - Gibson Les Paul Classic Plus - FW13

You are a very tight rythmplayer , quite impressive. The sound also fitted very well in the mix.

    Can you hear a difference?

Yes The palm mutes sounds like shit in the second half. The pre eq must be wrong. To much low freq sent into the virtual preamp I think.

I don't wanna be an asshole but: I thought cliff asked a question. Possible answers was supposed to be yes or no. This is no personal isssues like if anybody is a good or bad person. I can't understand why some people take this personally. Why not just listen, answer, maybe see how some...

    Do You Hear a Difference

I know that the question was if we hear a difference. I will check in the studio later , but can´t do it right now. What if you put two rythm-guitars and a solo in a song and see how we experienced the mix ? I find isolated tracks hard to value.

    ultra res and stock cabs

If I understand correctly, the only ultra-res-cabs around are the 10 OH cabs. I think you must buy the cab-lab program to convert to ultra -res. But as you probably know you can not convert the stock syx-files to ulltra-res. You gotta have longer wave or aiff files to start with.

Preset leveling using Waves Loudness Meter

This is exactly why it is pointless to argue with people that can not read what I say. I Said a cranced poweramp. I did not say a clean amp of course. What ever you say about this I know that a 1v signal will not be near a 0,25 v signal i Loudness. Why waiste time on this forum anyway.

    Mesa Mark I

True , but princetones looked like all other fender models with reverb (in the preamp) . The bassman-transformers were just to get more power (Not a bassman sound) . Higher current (maybe some voltage to ) and also different load imp for the powertubes (from 6v6 to 6L6).
  17. T

    Mesa Mark I

Well , the mark 1 was actually a fender with an extra boost stage before the first "stage"(with a slight modification in the reverb mix-stage) . It also had a master volume after the reverb mix stage . Most fenders: blackface, brownface, silverface, had the same preamp schematic. I guess you...

Preset leveling using Waves Loudness Meter

Yes ! I had a suggestion that all amps should have the same output-level when the "virtual-poweramp" was cranced. That would make things easier (same reference) when using it together with music. But some smart-ass told me that a 100 watt sim had to be louder than a 20w amp sim. I decided to...

Does anyone know why the Axe2 doesn't have midi toggle CCs?

Tips for Mid-Gain "Warmth" in V10?

  54. T

Does anyone know why the Axe2 doesn't have midi toggle CCs?

It's a good function that would have to take place in the axe. But I guess we might need three options for every effect. An example: Cc 100 chorus on Cc 101 chorus off Cc 102 chorus toggle (change state) Sometimes (different scenes) you might want to send an absolute value. For example...

I have wished that function in a thread before but as usuall, nobody agreed. That would be a great function because the axe allready knows the current state of all effects. I don't think everbody want's to use the mfc every time. But I guess there is some disadvantage with it since they...

Creating presets that sounds good direct, and thru a real power amp and cab?

In what way does it sound wrong through your real cab ? to bright ? to bassy ? to boxy ? or what ? Why not start in the other end. Tweak the amp with the real cab first. That must be the most natural way. The plexi 100 treb sounds great through my real cab if I set it to default...

    FW10 Holy crapper

I have no idea. Mine sounds great through real cabs with poweramp. I put the tonecontrolls flat and dialed out the treble with hi cut o 3 a clock gain at 2 a clock. Sounds great with a SG with p90 s . The IR business is a deal of it´s own.

Anyone using a buffer in front of the Axe-Fx?

Well , I have used a boss tuner in front of the axe, before I bought the mfc. That is the same thing. It works as good in front of the axe as in front of any amp, keeping the treble intact with a little help from the low impedance . I don't like long cables before the buffer though.

Could someone please give me some advise for the behringer fcb 1010

    USA Lead amp help!

I usually dial in the amp with a familiar real cab before using Ir 's. Isn't there two versions. with and without the fat switch engaged. Have you tried both. I also think they sound a little upper midrangy and bass heavy at the moment. I won't be sure until next gig is done though.

No ! I can't say I have tried the top boost tonestack in the axe. But I built it in in a couple of marshalls with succes. Treblebooster needs to be explored some more. I don't think the default setting is fat enough for me though. I takes some tweeking I guess.

How to dial out harshness (V10)?

I have to make the amp models work with my real guitar cab that I have decided to use. This means that there must be a "frequenzy-balance" in the amp modell itself. In that respect the IR business is of secondary interest. But of course it can be important for recording or line-situations.

    Fender - finally!

I use the brightswitch and turn down gain. Also down with mids and bass , up with treble a bit. At least for humbuckers. I play with the neck pickup and adjust B-M-T until the farting stops. If you are using cab-sims try 4-12 g12M-s to get a more open sound.
  81. T

    High gain with PAF?

Yeah ! Most lower output pickups have a wider frequenzy-response wich can be impossible to get from something else. I think it´s easier to get desent clean and chrunch sound with them as well . If you need more gain and narrower sound you can allways use a fliter with gain boost. (Or maybe a...
