Axe-Fx III Firmware Release Version 16.02

Is anyone else noticing the Class-A 30W Bright is significantly lower than the rest of the amps. It looks like the preamp gain going to the poweramp section is really low. You have to get the drive way up to get the headroom levels where they are for the other Class-A models. I tried it on...

What do you use scenes for?

I use scenes to turn on/off single or multiple effects for section of a song. I usually organize it something like (Intro, Verse, Chorus, Break, Lead). My pedalboard has presets organized by songs, which I can add to setlists on the pedal board.

contour control in amp block possible ?

The active tonestack allows for an easy way to set the mids on the preamp to no boost or cut so the setting in the input will solely act as the mids. The input eq is applied right before the input drive.

contour control in amp block possible ?

If you are talking preamp and the tone stack is in front of the gain stage , you can set the tone stack to active, keep mid at 12:00 and use the input eq of the amp block as a sweepable mid (or use the tone stack of your choice and use the input eq to shape the tone any way you like). You could...

    Reamping With Effects In Loop

Why use a multiplexer? Why not just bypass whatever input you are not using. If you do use a multiplexer for that purpose, you would put the multiplexer before the out/in 3. The multiplexer is an input selector. So the way you have it set up, Selecting row 1 for the input select parameter will...

How do you rate Axe-Fx 3 effects vs Eventide and other high end stuff?

The thought of lugging around the rack and pedalboard I had before the Axe-fx makes me cringe. The troubleshooting ground loops and and midi flow was a horribleat times.

I like using the Astable waveform and adjusting the Astable beta.
  25. javajunkie

How do you rate Axe-Fx 3 effects vs Eventide and other high end stuff?

I'm a church muscian. I have mist of the strymon pedals. They sound great and Ilike them. I even have them in my rack. But, the are used for the rare times I overload my processor with my kitchen sink presets. Problem is, preset management become a bit more of a chore.

How do you rate Axe-Fx 3 effects vs Eventide and other high end stuff?

  32. javajunkie

How do you rate Axe-Fx 3 effects vs Eventide and other high end stuff?

I have a lot of effects. Eclipse, h8000, most of the strymon pedals tc 2290, tc1210, tri-stereo chorus, echoplexes ,space echo, among other things (probably 50 or so pedals). The Axe-fx more than hangs with them. They are all different and have their sound and place, but the Axe-fx III just has...

The REAL Mesa Boogie Mark IIC++

You can always add more again by increasing the input gain or using the input boost set to neutral (or some other type). Another option for tape delay that sounds similar?

You can use the Stereo Tape. I does not use the same algorithm as the mono tape, and lo-fi tape. It does what the original poster was asking. When changing tempos it reacts the digital type but has the tone, eq, and modulation settings set for a tape sound.

Me and my OCD - left channel favoritism

I believe this has to do with way the modern enhancer operates. The modern enhancer uses frequency based psychoacoustics to increase the perceived stereo field.
