    Need help hooking up my Axe to my Apogee Duet

    You have to connect the outs of the Axe into the ins of the Duet with the guitar label on them. The one labled with the speaker is where you connect your monitors (speakers).

    Thanks. Your response is exactly what I wanted to know. So, now I don't have any reason to buy the GNX4. If , at least, it sounded good..... but, after hear to some clips, I came to the conclusion that the AXE FX sounds a million times better and was the best purchase I've ever made.

    Missing amps?

    To find these amp sims you have to press LAYOUT, then, on the Edit page select AMP with the NAV buttons, then press EDIT, then turn the VALUE knob until you find the amp sim you want (they are at the end of the list).

    updating problem

    Have you ever tried to update with the editor? I´ve always updateded with the editor and it worked great. I can't comment about either, your soundcard or midiox because I never used it but, it seems to me that the problem is with midiox settings.
