Best settings for use with SPDIF out -> PC -> Headphones

Hi,

My Axe Fx has arrived this week ! Great

Now I will have to do a lot of learning, but I just wanted to know 1 thing for shure from the start:

Are there any advised setting I have to change on the Axe when I mainly practice with headphones connected to my pc ?

It's SPDIF out -> PC Audigy 2 SPDIF IN -> Audigy 2 Headphones out.

Cab and poweramp sims should be turned ON for sure ?

Works great for jamming along, study tracks etc. But before I start tweaking patches etc, I want to make sure I don't use some wrong settings that would affect my tone.

You have to set your soundcard to 48KHz and the Word Clock to External Source.
