Ones with out USB are far more common and you can borrow from a friend (especially if you can borrow a nice one). You also also have the ability to add effects from the axe-fx during recording. How to set up 2 recording mics on the axe?

Actually it is a recording device (w/ USB and a DAW program), it just doesn't have mic preamps. It records line and guitar level signals quite well. It even has 2 inputs from the USB that record the signal w/o going through the Axe-fx effects grid. All the axe-fx need to record a stereo pair...

The bottom line is the noise can come from a variety of places. Listen for the type for interference you are getting. Is it low frequency, is it high frequency? Does it change when you move your guitar. Is it a steady low hum? Mr. Fender's advice is great. If it changes when you move your...

  43. javajunkie

Lets talk about the "Depth" control

not really, since you are hitting the master volume with less signal by turning down the input trim. The more saturated the power amp section is, the more it will mask the effects of presence and depth.

I'd like a flat response IR

It is a resonant boost, you also can move the frequency. A filter block would be better I would think. Either way would use less dsp.
  59. javajunkie

I'd like a flat response IR

why even bother with line out and in, just leave it unplugged. Or even easier export a tone match block that isn't matched to anything. You'll need to boost the cab 2db to match the bypass level, but that is about it.
  60. javajunkie

    It Never Fails

There is no compression involved. What it is saying is that the signal is lowered than brought back up by the buffer. So a flat you would actually have a cut. The maximum boost you would get is no boost if the buffer was removed. in other words there really isn't a boost, but cut to 0 boost.
