    Mono or Stereo Set-up

There is basically no difference in sound quality...that's just my perception as I didn't test it, but I've used a CLR or EV PXM for years. Also much more volume if that's important...and stereo on stage is cool...I send the stereo outs from the cab to FOH.

    Mono or Stereo Set-up

I recently went from using a single CLR or EV PXM on stage to a Raezers Edge 2/12 stereo cab. I like it a lot. Not as much separation as 2 separate cabs but I don't want to lug 2 cabs to gigs so this works great and its extremely light.

Curious: how many use frfr or cab for “your” stage sound

Get the RS Elis 8's or MF 10's. They won't dissapoint. In fact, I believe nowadays FAS sells them/ recommends them, in a package deal with the Fractal Audio Hardware like the FM9/AF3.

The EV's are the cat's meow according to many well respected members here. I am more interested in some of the hybrid backline focused FR's coming out now. Examples: the Fender FR12 (half the price of the EV's), BlueAmps, etc. There are many new ones coming out too from Raezor's Edge and...

New FRFR Option: Raezer’s Edge Audio Flux

I don't know that there's a specification saying what makes a driver or speaker be legit FRFR. The frequency response chart for the Eminence coaxial 12" looks pretty good… As does the 10"… Mixing two cabs, a 10" cab and a 12", looks like it'd create a nice sounding combination, and would be...

I ordered an FRFR solution a Raezers Edge Aduio Flux

I can't imagine not being happy with the tone. I typically use a princeton amp model with various cab ir's and what I hear with this Raezer is a princeton --- more to the point, I hear a larger sonic version of a princeton given my cab choices. With the stereo option adding width, the sound is...

    New FRFR - Raezer's Edge

Decided to take the Raezer's Edge FRFR to last weekend's gig at Nashville Okinawa. I also took the AX8 and played most of the night on a Dirty Shirley preset. We did not route guitars to the PA so what you hear in the video is more of my guitar since it was recorded on my side. From Whiskey...

Here is a short clip from Saturday's gig (8 July) at Nashville Okinawa. Decided to take the AX8. I used one of my Dirty Shirley presets. My guitar is prominent in the video (we did not route to PA) since it was recorded on my side. Used the Raezer's Edge Audio Flux FRFR. Like I wrote up top...

    New FRFR - Raezer's Edge

After a few gigs with it I like what I’m hearing. Lots of clarity, volume, and thump. Not sure what the initial issue was but now it is sounding good. Still doing a thorough A/B against my regular cabs…which I’m starting to favor more.

    New FRFR - Raezer's Edge

Geoff at Raezer's make some really great stuff. Most if not all of his cabs/amps I have used sound great. This cab lies somewhere in the Powercab/FRFR area. They do look like their regular models, but while the one one the right is a stock Stealth 12-ER, the one on the left is a one-off Twin-8-Tower-ER custom built for me by Rich Raezer in 2004. Yes, that's the Pearce company I'm talking about. I originally bought a G1a combo amp, circa 1986. I even had Dan Pearce do a few mods on mine at the Buffalo factory that I visited several times. A Common Axe-FX complaint:

That says all that need be said. Your problem is not with the Axe-Fx, it is with your amplification. That rig is anything but transparent. If you improve on it substantially, your live sound will match what you've already demonstrated you can get from the Axe with neutral speakers.

    A Common Axe-FX complaint:

I think, along w/ some of you, that it depends not just how you craft your patches, but what you use for an external power amp and speakers in a live situation.... I use my unit for live situations and for home use and recording. When I record w/ it or run it through my Adam A7 monitors, it...
