The 'disconnect' I was referring to was at a gig, with a stage monitor, in regards to getting harmonic feedback, or the guitar resonating E, but sound coming out Eb, it doesnt complete that 'loop' between guitar and stage sound...I just notice a difference in feel when I've used the pitch...

Curious about this pedal...do you get the same feel when its engaged...I've always had an issue with the guitar resonating an E, but an Eb is coming out and it seems to disconnect the guitar from the live sound...which I why I just stopped using the pitch block in this way.

Yeah we just had practice and pulled out Heaven or Hell last night...will probably add that to the list too...to me its just good straight up rock, with some rockabilly cleans and some metal accents... good basic riffs, catchy melodies and barebones approach to the sound.

No, Tone match is not part of the firmware...however there are some who have found workarounds I believe to convert it to a file the Ultra can use...I never got into it though.

Its a surprisingly decent tune as far as crowd reaction. Its just heavy/melodic enough that it pleases everyone in our crowdbase.....even with the singer we just fired brutally killing it, lol

So just to simplify, based on the information that my Ultra/LF+ rig never used more than 4 presets, I shouldnt ever use more than 4 scenes. When I create a preset, I would add every block needed for the song to the Scene 1 slot, copy/paste to Scene 2/3/4 etc, and modify the bypass and X/Y...

Noisy 'Stormy' Sounds from II XL

I run EMG's and plugged into the front input I have to run my input trip (On the original ultra again..) at about 2-3 o'clock...barely every touch red...any higher on the knob and the noise gets too much...so the input trim for me is more of an input noise control.

Stereo Cab Vs Non-Stereo sounds different

Only a gen 1 user here....I run stereo cabs, mono send.....I dont notice any phase issues as I have them panned middle. I just like the sound of them blended together...I thought the AFX's had some programming that eliminated the phasing issues you would run into with this.

Last minute advice frfr

I would echo '6 strings' approach to it. My settings vary a bit, I like a low cut between 100-150 depending on the amp type, and usuall roll off around 8k. Lower than 8k, seems to remove some of that sparkle to the presence. I usually use a stereo cab, same speakers, but use the u87 mic...

iPhone or Laptop practice setup

I use a small cheap behringer mixer and the headphone jack to mix both. Otherwise, I just plug my cpu's output to my IEM's input 2 and run my AFX into the input 1, and mix volumes as needed. Works for me, but I'm sure there are better options.

So then with that type of chain, which is what I'm looking at doing...if I wanted the bass to be on output 2, I would just add the FX Send at the end of its chain...that would give the soundguy a separate channel to work with the bass separate from my guitar.

Turn on effects with the strength of the picking (help)

are you trying to increase the 'mix' of the effect based on the strength of the pick attack. For example, light picking would be a mix of the flanger at 10%, where as a hard pick attack would produce a more pronounced 60% mix?? So not bypassing the effect on/off, but varying the mix %?

I agree, I've seen an occasional video in this style, but never really saw anyone perform a song that I was familiar with, and cover the vocal/guitar melodies and the bass lines, and the drums enough to literally make the whole song. This to me seems more like a street musician type skill...

Loss of Gain and Sustain When using In Ears Live

I've noticed the same thing since going to IEM's. I've had our soundguy start setting up a JBL wedge monitor for me off to the side to see if it helps....and I'm not sure it helps with the sustain, but it helps me to 'feel' the chunk and hear the tones better.

Anyone willing to help a delay idiot....

Maybe I'll learn something out of this...... Ok, so I'm passable at setting delays for leads just to add the ambient type echo to fill space.....what I really suck at is dialing in a delay specific to help a song. Such as Everything by Buckcherry. The beginning part with the clean delays...

A couple questions regarding Guitar and Bass

Not to hijack or anything, but I have a GEN 1 unit, and have started playing with this amp....I'm guessing I can put a PEQ between the amp/cab and it would be the best spot? I can see the frequencies there in the pic, but what is the range and Q of the sliders to best emulate this EQ?

Part 2 my tone issues....

So, with that preset....with no cable plugged into the axe......and my 'standard' gate settings.....was your meter fluctuating around -30db like crazy or did the gate silence everything as it seems your noticing. Thats what I'm worried about with the input noise is that its internal or more...

your experience tells me that I'm not far off with correct noisegate settings, and that there is some potential input noise issues in my unit somewhere.

hmmm, that is a fair question regarding the input noise and possible other things plugged in. I'll check that in a short bit with my axe box....but in my experience at my practice desk area....I have hooked up the SansAmp fly rig there and didnt notice anywhere near the noise I get at my full...

I completely agree with you Chris, both in principle and now in practice. I'm amazed that I notice such a difference now....and when the ULtra Gen 1 came out, and all the threads about the special sauce and rear input vs front input that I read....I never really noticed a difference back then...

I need 3 switchable pitch settings, what is the best way to do this?

That would be my option Beck. I would setup a patch that has the first pitch setting....then create a second patch that has two pitch blocks...which you can then switch using either an IA attached to the bypass....or I used to use my expression pedal and just cross the min/mid/max settings so...

Extremely newb type question about boosting....

Again, EQ-tone is subjective as far as your ear vs. mine, but gain structure is pretty set....you might think something is high gain, and I call it medium gain.....sure, but I can see your gain settings and reEQ something to match what I like...I'm curious to see others 'gain' settings compared...

I guess what I was saying is that the Mix Parameter has helped when I felt the drive pedal was where I wanted it boost wise, but not liking the EQ feel I got from the boost. Obviously I like my rhythm tone, which would be the dry signal. So if I end up with a boosted setting of drive - 0...
