It looked way cooler in photos for some reason. In person it was super cheap and gaudy looking haha. It was like looking a shiny glittery print and the fabric was sagging.

+1 keep the old SV bass along with the new one. Like SEED. I love the new one's but I have bass patches with TM's in them which get thrown off with the change and extreme difference in volume. Thanks!

It sounds better when you relevel it but its way louder than the old model. All my bass patches clip now so I'll rework them for the final release. Can't wait! Edit: like some others I get no sound with the Porta-bass for some reason and it causes axe edit to crash after a minute and the axe XL...

Here are the TesseracT Axe-Fx II Guitar and Bass Patches by 4D Sounds (QUANTUM 1.01)

One thing that could work (or not) is to backup all your patches (reload after this process is done) and the go back to quantum 1.01. Load the patches. If they sound good then record a track (sans FX for the best match). Then go to the newest firmware and load that patch and tone match it to...

Wow. I'll have to try this out when I get home. At first I thought the wide version was the emulated double tracking and the first part was true double tracking. Didn't realize until I saw both patches that they were both emulated double tracking. Great job!

It changes depending on the patch and the guitar I'm using but -70db, ratio 2.00, attack 1.00, release 20.00, level 0, Input Z auto. is a good start. Anything over -50db for the threshold starts to be a bit too much for the sound on my rig, unless I want that super tight meshuggah type sound...

Woah. I tried this around FW 14 and didn't like it, but now its amazing. Kind of almost has a recto meets Deziel meets Marshall sound if that makes sense. Just huge and hairy but with plenty of low end to smooth it out. Seems to be best for heavy rhythm playing. I'm using a FET in front of it...

I'd say go for it. Get a used II since they're cheaper (Even though I love the extra storage and fail safe on my XL). I would say that if there was a III coming it wouldn't just appear, there would be more of a pre-marketing campaign to make sure people were paying attention. Who knows though...

A few different ones that could be cool to try. A Horrendous patch would be cool. It's a modern HM-2 type sound: Fates Warning - Anarchy Divine Heathen - Opiate of the Masses (sort of a IJFA Metallica tone) but really wide.
