    I've never paid much attention to my tone knob, but the axe fx is real picky about where i set it. the uber settting with my tone knob rolled down sounds pretty much just like my old uber tone wise, just doesnt have that punch in the nuts my uber had...but i am using a small 25 (50 stereo) watt...

    I feel for the home player/studio the Axe Fx Ultra is HARD to beat. You wont have to crank it to get killer tones.

    thanks, I think I understand now. my other units actually had banks listed but instead of that the axe just keeps the patches going starting at 128.So 129 would be the 1st patch of bank B. correct ?

    Gated Uber

    i ran it through a ss poweramp into a 4x12 , mainly to see if the poweramp could keep up for band levels,its a small 50 watt amp.Might be only 25 ss watts when using 1 channel, and it barely made the cut, will need to upgrade soon.

    Someone made a gated Uber patch that I downloaded, and I cant remember who it was. I just wanted to say thank you, it was my main patch last night for band practice and it sounded great.

    This could be true if its the drivers/interface. I have only used MidiOx to send some patches, never tried it for updating the firmware.

    my ears are a little fatigued right now.but i am using studio headphones..i still think it would do better black sabbath than AIC. :D it doesnt sound like my uberschall at all, but mine has kt88's in it.

    well ,i was originally going to get the standard and even e-mailed sales to see about B-stocks but they never e-mailed me back, granted it has probably only been 5 hours or so, but i pulled the trigger on a used ultra instead, i am impatient like that. :lol:
