Development with the next firmware

I owned an Axe Fx III and an FM3. The FM3 runs through poweramp to live cabs. The AXEFXIII is in one location & the FM3 is in another. It would be a half truth to say I'm not itching to run the improvements through live cabs.. Just too much work to swap out.. LOL.. Thanks for the update on the...

FracTool - for power users only

Trying to use fractool with fm3 on latest firmware to… Replace cab block with shunt Replace output1 to output 2 I run FM3 into stereo poweramp and out to 2 real cabs. It appearing to be performing the changes but when I go back nothing has been replaced. Thanks in advance

Hello... What setting is null? I play my FM3 through a Mesa Boogie 50/50 power amp and a couple of cabs. Sounds awesome. Curious to try this but do not see a "Null" selection from the drop down on my AxeFXiii or FM3.. Are you turning something down? Thanks in advance.

SOLVED: FM3 in front of 2204, Noisy, tone...

@2112 has an awesome video on this: No tone suck.. I did both options with Preamp as amp, & Preamp as FM3. It worked so well... I bought a tube power amp. Good luck

Injecting a few real tubes into my Axe-Fx III

I have had a great experience with the SD PS products as well. It has been years since I went through a live cab. Own a AxeFXIII for direct and an FM3 for poweramp. Very happy with both. The FM3 is so Powerful with a live cab.. glad I decided to give it a go.

VH Pitch on albums

I was playing around with Running With The Devil.. I think this is about right. Depending on the scale length of the guitar & general intonation of guitars. I tuned to the opening bass BOMP BOMP to establish the Low E string. Tuned everything to that. Then tuned D/G/B strings to open G major...

Stereo amps and tracking.

I have dabbled with this. It gives something different for sure but I still prefer double tracking. I have double tracked and reamped a total of 4 tracks (from DI) with 2 performances with mixed results unless I use sim IRs. This thing sounds so good.. I love playing it more than once...

Best Modern Metal Mix for Reference?

I really like the Avenged Sevenfold sound as well overall. Latest album is a great sounding album. The AlterBridge sound is good as well. The days of truly bad sounding albums are rare.. Unless you are Metallica.. Love them but...They have some real humdingers. Death Magnetic has lots of good...

Monitor levels to get YouTube videos to sound level with a patch

So.. not sure if I do it the conventional way or not but... I direct monitor from the Axe Fx III into studio monitors. Connect USB to computer & Axe Fx III. You can set the level of youtube/backing tracks with the volume in youtube. Get a good output level on the AxeFx III for your guitar tone...

Got my cable.. Everything is good. Having the camera open and set to video before inserting thunderbolt cable is a real thing... Outside of that.. Pretty cool.. Nice video with nice sound... I will try to set up the mic into Axe Fx III and see how that works.. Post back later.

Computer USB system audio processed through the grid?

You must send the audio to USB channels 5/6 or 7/8. On the Mac, do this with "configure speakers" in Audio MIDI Setup. Hey Thanks Bud... I have been trying to figure this out... This be in the manual... problem solved

Both cabs should have a curve like the 2nd screen shot. The first screenshot only has one curve & a flat line on the other cab. Not sure if this is a graphical issue or an ir issue. First time I had noticed it.

WAV sweep to IR?

This was my issue of why I couldn't see Axe FX III in Cab-Lab 3.. Had to download from Fractal Store again... with update software... All is good now. So if you see: Cab-Lab 3.4 Mac Auto Update Download Error That is how to fix it.

Hello @gurtejsingh ... I posted on Axechange. Glad to help. The amp block got a bit hot during the conversion. That is the only change I made outside of adding the gate and changing the settings on the new input section to noise reduction... Keep those videos coming!!!

I'm on 12.06 Beta3 & the issue remains. If you reset them individual they sit. I have reset all my global performance setting.. but the preset for preset settings have to be reset position by position.

Fixed Bug In Performance Tab

I have a FC6 & had the blank mini LCD screens.. when I went from 12.3-12.5 that part was corrected but the "Performance Screen" reads like yours as default now.

I have the same issue.. I went from.. 12.3-12.4-12.3-12.5.. they can be typed in and stored if that helps for the time being.

Axe-Fx III Firmware Release Version 12.05

I have not seen this posted specifically but I went from 12.3 to 12.4 to 12.3 to 12.5. Reloaded the global settings from 12.3. The Global performance slot got wiped. No big deal.. I put them back in..now they are read "AMP" ( as I grabbed them from the Amp block".. I can manually type them in...

Looper help (volume jump and a few other issues)...

I was going to add the same thing.. or that your 4 line outputs are all even depending where you place the looper on the grid.. I have been using the looper often recently to work on improvs over uncommon ( to me) chords. Love it.
