We shot through three different pres for each cab: Neve, Fearn and a GML. The GML is neutral. The Neve is, well, a Neve. The Fearn is very colored, in a good way.
I get that but my question is do you send the test signal in to the front of the amplifier through it's pre amp? Just trying to figure out how that works as I have never done it. I am assuming the other pre amps are on the mic.
We disconnected the cabinet and used a SS power amp to drive the speaker. You don't want to use any part of the amp itself since it won't have a flat response.
I assume the IR's will be downloadable for us to use in the user slots and not replace ant of the stock cabs?
I don't think those are the only two options.
The Axe II has more room for IRs. It's possible that we'll get the new IRs, plus the existing factory IRs, and still keep the 50 user slots.Would you care to elaborate sir?
Nevertheless... I love that the first pic is the Super. It sounds great now, can't wait to hear it w/ it's real IR's!!Here are a few pics from the session in no particular order or significance.
I'd just like to add my reaction: "Homina, Homina, Homina"
signing out...
Would have loved to been a fly on the wall, for the last two days in that studio. Beats doing informatica programming for two days.
I thought cliff mentioned in the past that we don't have any extra IR slots that he can put in... hmmm
The Axe-Fx II was designed with a lot of extra storage space for factory IRs and I would like to take advantage of that soon.
Nope. Remember the new factory IRs we got in FW7? Besides...
I hope none of the current factory ir's get removed because i use a lot of them....
