    Ready for the Amp Show

I think it needs to be 1,500 or less or you lose a significant chunk of the market. I'm not sure how much adding one dsp chip adds to production cost but the seem to be around 30 dollars after market. Obviously there's development and marketing costs but serious consideration to not out pricing...

Finally ready to pull the trigger on studio monitors. Equator or Yamaha?

I think I've narrowed it down to equator d8 vs yahama hs8, anyone have experience with either of these with the the axe fx? My budget is around 750. I'm also considering getting a pair of equator d5's for 400 and potentially adding a sub down the road if I need it. Thoughts?

    1500 bucks, you say, Line6?

Sounds pretty good to me, especially some of the fx. Helix may be a good product if you want something like the fx8 as well as decent amp sims to play around on. I doubt the converters are in the same league. Ultimately I'm excited for it to come out and see how it stacks up. I wish there was a...

    Firmware Version 10.03 Up

I always find it amusing that with every firmware update I hear people talking about how they weren't really ever satisfied with x or y before and now it's better. I know they aren't saying that they didn't like the axe before, just saying that since I've had the axe since around 8.00 every...

Re: How much Experience needed to operate the Axe Effectivel The idea that you need a PHD to operate this thing effectively is a myth. I can take a blank patch add a shiva od no eq'ing other than bumping the presence to 5 through anything with V30s and IMO I have a better and more usable...

    Master level default setting poll!

those are certainly very good points, and you are probably right, "correct" is certainly relative to the person. I completely agree but default is default now. There may be many users that don't touch any of the controls, just play the presets then get disappointed.
