I think it needs to be 1,500 or less or you lose a significant chunk of the market. I'm not sure how much adding one dsp chip adds to production cost but the seem to be around 30 dollars after market. Obviously there's development and marketing costs but serious consideration to not out pricing...

Finally ready to pull the trigger on studio monitors. Equator or Yamaha?

I think I've narrowed it down to equator d8 vs yahama hs8, anyone have experience with either of these with the the axe fx? My budget is around 750. I'm also considering getting a pair of equator d5's for 400 and potentially adding a sub down the road if I need it. Thoughts?

are you using going through the the fx block and using the amp sims? if so are you using poweramp sims? I bet 100 watts of clean power wouldn't color the tone too much. Or are you using the axe fx as an fx unit only?

maybe because when your trying to run frfr the goal is to have a relatively flat reference of what your hearing and your engl poweramp will color the shit out of your tone..... it was designed to....

QSC 10 Crackles but no output clipping

I have the same problem. I ran it through a small behringer mixer and while it helped it still begins to crackle with certain mid-frequencies... overall my experience with the k10 has not been positive despite the many positive reviews and praise I've seen it get on this forum. I'm weary of...

Mission Pedal Help! (can't calibrate properly)

I don't I really wish I did, I've gotten it to work well with my boss Gt-8 but that's through midi so its a completely different animal. I emailed mission about an hour ago and they haven't got back to me yet in the meantime any other suggestions are more than welcome.

I have, and according to James (great customer service by the way), before I purchased the pedal I would not have a need to reverse the polarity so I don't understand why that would be the issue. I'm stumped.... has anyone else had any issues?

Thanks Scott. I didn't get the ep-1 r which has a reverse polarity switch. If there's another switch I'm embarrassed to say I can't see it. I have the regular ep-1 with a spring loaded configuration. If I'm missing this other switch I must be overlooking something. Again thankyou for your time

stewart has a high damping rate >500 and the world 1.2 is a class H which i don't know much about however the world 600 appears to be a class ab amp which is what Cliff recommended (sorry can't remember where) to be an ideal solution with the axe. They both claim a relatively flat response...

I completely agree but default is default now. There may be many users that don't touch any of the controls, just play the presets then get disappointed. I feel like new users would be inclined to leave a fenders master volume at 5 now, not knowing any better and quickly disregard that amp sim...

I understand the original reasoning for not doing this was for consistency in sampling multiple amps, but as our poweramp modeling has drastically improved since 9.0 I believe the opposite may now be true. IMHO I feel in order to drastically cut down on confusion and improve efficiency...

That's bull I have plenty of patches with two amps drive delay reverb eq and comp with no problem. the difference between the ultra and standard is not NEARLY as much as some will have you believe.

Great Match - AXE + QSC K10!!!

From my experience in a 20X25 room you could make it uncomfortably loud with two in a room that size. The K10's have awesome dispersion and consistency, IMHO one of the best bang for the buck small gig PA's.

As I understand it, speakers that are in the Fratomics are rated at 200 watts, would I be correct in assuming that the same rule of thumb for achieving maximum headroom applies? Meaning if the speakers are rated at 200 watts I should give a little under three times that wattage for optimum...

Two Rock Opal or similar two rock amp!

Volume between presets

actually what some users do and I find helpful is compare all tones to bypassed volume. That way you can always go back and forth between your reference sound. I read someone else here who does the same thing, but i cant remember where i found it or I would give him credit.

thanks for chiming in.... im getting excited about this one.... I could either go this route or get the k10 for like 80 dollars more so im kinda stuck waiting for a comparison because the money isn't that different.

ya maybe if you are trying to use the atomic as the only guitar amplification I could see that, but as a stage monitor and your sound coming out of the mains there's no way..... Unless your drummer is flat out too loud.

it would be cool to change amp values with a cc command to toggle changes for my high db tone and my low volume dorm room tone

Should I keep a G-major 2? Or Axe covers it all no need to?

even if you were just using the axe for effects alone, the vast majority opinion on this forum is that the axe's effects are superior to the G major I or II

Guitar cab + cab sims or FRFR?

once the atomic passive frfr are released you can have a great FRFR unit thats shaped like a small traditional guitar cab for $350 US. You would continue to power it with you're sla-1
