Moke, Maybe he will chime in and let us know about the clean channel... Yep Fractool doesn't always convert everything, but it is still an outstanding tool! Thank you for making the effort...I have several of your purchased presets and you do an outstanding job on them...!!!

Re-amping is easy, but cannot run Cab-Lab standalone while your DAW interface is at 96kHz as I was fearing... I am going to start another post about this and hope Cliff is looking...

You are right the two tracks will be almost indistinguishable. There are only 2 reasons for recording at 96kHz Lowest possible buffer setting for tracking Mixing with time based effects Again... "I spelled out instructions on how to do this to help other Pro Tools members...I will apply it in...

If that were true then most producers would be running at 48kHz without any analog front or backend gear. I personally don't know of any commercial studio(s) running without racks of analog gear... 48kHz is primarily for the film industry and that is going to 96kHz. Every DAW out there can run...

I track the entire band at 96kHz because I can run at 32 samples for tracking...The 96kHz allows you to almost cut your latency in half and time delay effects such as reverb and delay are more detailed and translate better to final mixes. It is a waste of studio time and hard drive space to save...

I was trying to answer another post about using Cab-Lab 3 Standalone in Pro Tools when I realized I wasn't re-amping at a true 96kHz and wanted to post a possible solution... Since there won't be an AAX version for the plugin version AND we are fixed at 48kHz, I wanted to try re-amping "analog"...

Like Barthrecords said just have to wrap our heads around implementing Midi CC with the two devices... Henrik at Antarestech is the one who could enlighten us on what to expect, but he is not returning phone calls...

Have had mine for 2 months and Henrik at Antarestech is not returning my phone calls or replying on their forum either.... The ATG-1 is ten times better than the Boss GP-10 (terrible tracking on alternate tunings)....I know there are several members here who also own the ATG-1 or the luthers kits..

I am assuming it is possible in theory to run the ATG-1 like the MFC101. I just want scene and bank changes via the ATG-1 AND simplify the cables running to it (power and midi). Question is is there a converter available to use the FASlink (XLR) connector and the midi i/o of the ATG-1...

Its possible, but I have seen this several times in the past...little hints here and there in QR interviews... It was a common technique in the 80s to run a distortion pedal in front of a clean amp to get that Shrapnel lead tone. Satriani recorded his first album with a DS-1 and a JC-120.

80s Lead Tone with Roland JC-120

Anyone had any luck creating an 80s lead tone with the Roland JC-120? Supposedly running a "distortion" pedal thru the Roland JC-120 was used on Queensryche Empire album. Been trying to duplicate this with limited success with the Rat pedal. Cant seem to dial out the honky tone of it though...

I have had a lot of fun with the TC Electronic Sub'N'Up Octaver Pedal, but have failed to duplicate a effective octave up effect with the axe fx pitch shift that tracks as well as the pedal. Any body know how i can possibly emulate the pedal as closely as possible with axe fx? thanks

Tone Match Question

I have my Axe Fx XL+ connected SPDIF to my interface and not sure I understand how to do the "Offline" version... I have an audio file in Pro Tools and want to Tone Match it... Could someone point me to an existing step by step instructions or forum post that covers this? thanks

No replies from Mark....I am sure he is busy, I did bump another older thread I found and see if it will bear any fruit :) I have been sitting in front of my near fields for weeks now experimenting with the G3 amps in different mixes and it can be fatiguing trying to separate the differences...

Sooo... It looks like I will use the Preset Reporter to have the values from the original patches and build from scratch which I don't have a problem with. Just more work. Will this continue to be an ongoing problem everytime Fractal decides to update the firmware or is just the transition...

Haven't found any legacy version so far. I only see firmware version 11 for the Axe Fx. I do not see any for the Axe Edit. :( Does anyone have a direct link? I also started a tech support post, maybe they will chime in...

Ok...The syx files wont open. I tried to open them via Axe Edit. I thought that my new Axe Fx XL+ would open any older files....am I wrong? Can anyone enlighten me on how to open these files? thanks
