Stock presets for FW 8 and above.

Preset banks don't always get updated w/ each new firmware. Sometimes you just need to "refresh" the amps.

You shouldn't be get distortion when playing through clean amps w/ headphones. You should always use the front headphone out - the rear outputs are not designed for headphone use. It might be possible that the headphones are faulty - try using them w/ an iPod or a CD player. You might also...

I am so frustrated....

I don't think that this is possible with external drives (Distortion/OD/Boost) because the input of the Axe-FX is set up for "unity-gain" (someone correct me if I'm wrong). The best way to use pedals is to keep the output of the pedal low & use the pedal for "flavor" rather than "push".

While in Axe Edit > Highlight Preset (or Presets) > Right Click on Preset (or Presets) & choose from the drop down menu. If you choose "Send To Axe-FX" then you have a choice to send the "Entire Bank" or "Selected Presets" These will be saved in the corresponding numbers in the Axe-FX.

Question on AXE behavior with different Guitars

One way to resolve this is to make two of the same patches - one for each type of guitar. Humbuckers will be hotter than (most) Single Coils so adjust the input/output/drive/master levels accordingly. :D

Running Maxon OD808 (or any external pedal) into Axe FX 2?

You'll want to run OD/Distortion before the Amp. Guitar > OD > Instrument Input. If you want to run it after a compressor (or anything else in the Axe) you can use the effect loop.

How to take away message : `Uses Global Blocks etc.....`

There's a new feature - if you press "enter" while the Axe is in "normal" state your global settings will be unlinked. Without this message, it is very easy to unlink your global settings without your knowledge.

Got my BeyerDynamic DT 880 Pro, 250 ohm, but hardly any volume

I have the exact headphones & there is plenty of output volume - 12:00 on the Output Volume is all I can stand. If you're using the 12db pad - I can see how you could max out the volume but it still "should" be plenty loud (but everyone's idea of loud is different). FWIW - I use the Sony...

Just a thought... Press "layout" on the front panel - are the shunts/etc connected all the way to the end? or Try loading a saved preset or bank into the Axe. You might of accidentally "erased" a preset or bank.
