Fractal IRs

Thinking about ... Would it be possible do model CAB-IRs by software? Or to make a "software Uber-Cab-IR"? Without having a real cab and a real mic in the process. What do you think - or know?

Sorry for the long time between your question and my answer. Yes, I'm still very happy with my Tannoy Power V12. Compared to all the other speakers I've heard with the Axe-Fx it is the first one which shows the full potential of the Axe-Fx. I love it.

FRFR with coaxial drivers. What are the options?

Last week I tested an active coax Tannoy V12 for two hours. What shall I say: I was blown away. In the last three years I heard the Axe-Fx with Atomic (No-FRFR), JBL (Scott's former fave), RCF 310 a, FBT Verve 12ma and Atomic-FRFR. But for me the Tannoy V12 is in a complete different league...

Using the FBT Verve 12ma since 5 months as an in front monitor I got the same experiences as you. The coax speaker sounds pretty homogen in nearfield compared to a classic two way speaker like the RCF 310a, which I used before the FBT. I'm looking for a better coax monitor speaker than the FBT...

You can accelerate the process if you put a fm tuner at the input and dial in the hiss/noise between two radio stations. Some years ago I heard this tip from an audiophile.

Axe Freezing up after update to 7.16!!!

Have my Axe-Fx since two years. First freeze appeared with 7.16. Never used any editor! Also with 7.17 my Axe-Fx freezed sometimes while playing, for me it looks like a software lock. The freeze appears appr. every 4 to 5 hours. My patches are very straight forward: wah-drv-amp-cab-del-rev.
