SKB Shallow Rack Fit for Axe-Fx III

I bought a new style SKB full size 6 space rack a few months ago and it was so much larger and heavier than my older model full size SKB case that I sent it back and bought a Gator short case instead. It is perfect and much lighter than the SKB with the same protection.

Same here. I thought it was my Win 10 computer USB or audio card driver until I found that the only way to restore audio was to reboot the Axe. Mine will even die in the middle of a video and it will keep playing but no sound until I unplug and reboot the Axe.

Amp only overdrive...

You can also use the saturation switch and drive to add/customize gain. I think I read in the manual or on the other info on here that it is supposed to be like adding the "Jose Mod" to an amp. I starting using it on a few of my patches when I lost gain in one of the early Quantum updates.

I have to run my EMG 57's somewhere around 14.5 and have always thought that was too low too but everyone says it is what it is so go with it. Seems wrong to me that I can't turn up more too but mine do the same with tickling the reds when I play hard.

Ok good, thanks. iRig comes with USB and Lightning plugs so wondered if it could stand alone with Lightning. It's $80 but it's $30 + shipping for the Apple USB adapter plus the Roland UM One at $40 + shipping so that's roughly the same price when you look at it that way. Or am I missing something?

Ah ok, I didn't know about Axe Manage so I just exported a few factory presets because I got tired of exporting them one by one. I did do a full backup before I edited anything when I first got it so I can restore bank A to the end of my presets and then move them over. Thanks.

Do any of the through zero flangers work for the swoosh? I ahven't had time to do this specifically but while I was working on replicating my old rig in the Axe last weekend, I messed around with the two through zeros and clicked across the barber pole flanger for a few seconds and all of them...

Hmmm, so that's probably what is locking it up then. So does the original command going through midi thru send the changes to chained gear down the line then? Too bad it doesn't send program changes like it says in the manual then as it would probably would work then. Any chance the Fractal guys...

Yeah I asked Jim at Rocktron about that when I first started this and he said they did sometimes use pins 4 and 5 even though their cables don't have them wired. They don't wire them in the powered cable because of the power. I put metal ends on my Rocktron cables and didn't wire pins 4 and 5...

Thanks for the help guys but neither of those worked either. The mapping created a buffer overflow and locked the MR up. Changing the merge on the MR didn't do anything different either. I noticed it doesn't fully lock up the Axe when the midi in is also plugged into the MR, it just gets really...

I have the same problem. I'm a wizard at figuring out a lot of things but using and dialing in delay is not one of them, in fact, I'm probably in the "severely challenged" or "differently abled" category for delays, to be PC. I just got my axe a few weeks ago and spent a few days last weekend...

I'm trying to figure out what is going on but it initially looks the out is passing the original data through also. There may be something funky in the MR too, not sure and will ahve to sort it out. I'm not hopeful it will work at this time though. I'm trying to get my wah autoengage to work...

That would be half of it but it would also have to only send that program change message out the out and not mirror other data that came into it, just keep that going through the thru. I had to push the knob button on my G-Major to get it to send the program change but it worked well in updating...

I understand all of that but this way worked on my old tube rig and would work on this one too if there was a way in the Axe to shut off midi commands that come into the Axe from the MR from going right back out the midi out on the Axe to the MR. That's what a thru port is for- to mirror what...

You're pretty lucky yourself but I bet it was hard not to go meet them. I would have liked to have seen Signals but the tone Lifeson had on R30 with the H&K's turned me off so much I can't even listen to the CD or DVD. I'm glad he went back to the Lerxst Marshalls and whatever he does with the Axe.

Those are just dummy stage cabs to represent the different eras and aren't functional, just part of the show. I saw a tech on top of a ladder pick up a Marshall head on top of three cabinets with one hand and carry it down the ladder. All the good stuff is behind the stage but it did look cool...

Yeah bkrodgers, it sounded killer didn't it? The PA was a little loud and fuzzy the first few songs but once they got it dialed in it sounded amazing. Alex's guitar really came out in the second set and got better and better to the end. I don't know if he was using the same patches or something...

I just got back to the hotel after the St. Louis show and they absolutely killed it. I couldn't see backstage to see what they had going on but they sounded as good as ever. It's crazy that they can still play that hard for three hours and not miss a beat.
