Who made you start playing guitar?

My mom was famous for not labeling Christmas presents so one year when I was about 7 years old I woke up on Christmas morning to find a Silvertone acoustic guitar under the tree. It was meant for my older brother but I got up first and claimed it. Soon afterwards we both started taking lessons...

What is that one piece of gear you wish you never sold?

In the early 1970s I had a silver face Dual Showman with a 2x15" cab. I sold it for $200 so I could buy a silver face Twin Reverb and I wish I could have afforded to keep it because I think about it every time I need to move my Twin.

For those keeping track, I did not miss an invitation to order nor was mine a reorder. The last reported invitation last year was to someone who got on the wait list before me. Nevertheless, my FM9 is supposed to arrive today so I anticipate being too sick to go to work tomorrow. :)

Different options/ideas to be able to fund GAS

    External switches

I actually think that will be too tight. The MFC-101 is about 16" wide and the mission pedal is about 4" without connectors so that may be a squeeze. Having said that, thanks to messaboogieman for the measuring tape imgage. That helps a lot.

Thanks to everyone who offered rational, tempered advice. As I said in my orignal post, there is no fun in that but it is sensible to wait. I would be really mad at myself if I planned and built a board only to find that the dimensions of the MFC changed slightly. On the other hand, maybe we...

As long as we are venting about Jack White I want add a comment about the opening scenes in the movie It Might Get Loud.
