Get the sound of 10.x in 11.x?

Thanks a ton it was the comp value. Turned it back down to 0 and the tone is very similar (if not just a hint more dynamic, possibly in a good way).

Cab IR impulses sound different when going through the axefx vs just running on comp

Thanks for the tip, ill try the r8 brain and check the sample length, I believe they are super short, but that description does not tell how many milliseconds :)

Has anyone else experienced this? I have some IR impulses that I love (the catharsis set) however when I convert them to 48khz from 44.1 and make them into sysx to put on the axe fx....they sound not so subtly different than when I just run them with a cab emulator on the computer. (le cab, or...

Gotcha, Im not afraid of tweaking...hell I had to do it a little bit even with the tube amps. I just dont want to return to "waste 6 years of life tweaking the vetta hell" and still have a pile of crap that I trained my ears to sound good :). Luckily im not really needing an awesome high gain...

Many thanks, Just to clarify it can listen at the line input (the tube amp tone) or the guitar input (reg guitar sound coming in) but not both at the same time? It is critical that It would not be taking in signals from both. Of course it would cause phasing with both, but I just want to...

One more question ...signal routing/ins and outs.

Let me begin with my guitar rig setup Guitar goes into a sennhiser wireless the wireless reciever has 2 outputs, an xlr and a 1/4 inch I send the quarter inch into my amp (6505+) and the xlr into a reamp box which goes into guitar input 1 of a pod x3 pro. my amp effects send goes into line...

Thanks for the replys, keep em coming actually. Especially if you have sound clips or can point to sound clips of awesome rhythm clean and distorted (crunch and high gain) tones. Anyone can make a good lead tone with pretty much anything so I'm much more impressed with fantastic rhythm tones...

Hey so right now I'm constructing my dream guitar rig and currently I have a line 6 pod x3 pro rack unit as the effects unit/clean tone of the amp. (the amp is currently a 6505+ but I also have an engl powerball...still haven't decided on the final winner.) All in all I'm pretty dissatisfied...
