    Reasonably priced audio interface with spdif?

    I use a Scarlett 6i6 gen2 which has SPDIF i/o. Works fine in all DAWs that I use. Only issue I had was my own user error inexperience with Ableton interface. They can be found used for $125 or so. One on REVERB and a few on Facebook marketplace right now.

    Here is interesting info. :oops: In Sonar Platinum I can get the AXE 3 to record via the AXE 3 soundcard alone, and also with the Scarlett as soundcard using the SPDIF IN from AXE 3. It worked easily with no issues at all. This appears to be an Abelton setup issue. I will do some more research.

    It's all good for a plug and play user like me. I am not a huge tweaker. Dyna Cabs are a great option for the more advanced or discerning users though. I do run a Matrix power amp into a real 1x12 V30 cab and bypass all the Axe3 cabs sometimes if that says anything.

    I have had every Fractal unit since 2007 on multiple computers. Have had three Axe FX units and two different FM9 units on this same computer. Never had issues with any software. Upon looking at the forum here and comments in this thread, issues with FM3 Edit are pretty common.

    FM3 Firmware Version 6.02 beta 1

    Might have already been noted by someone- but FM3 Edit is freezing or losing connection on me with 6.02 beta 1. Happens randomly. Also will kind of partially work where some parameters on FM3 Edit will not work like OUTPUT EQ in Amp block. Everything still can be adjusted via the hardware...

    Austin Buddy Live Gold setup with Studio Monitors ?

    I might also say that my Yamaha HS8s tend to be more on the bass side of things to begin with, at least in my setup. I did not know that the Live Gold package was voiced with slightly more lower end. I did know they were created with gig volume in mind. The tip to do some low cut is helpful.

    Grab a used FC 6 and use one of the AB layouts that gives you an Amp Control layout to have access to all of the amp switches.
