    i definitely feel like it's a a low end resonance you get with an archtop that most modeler-players don't experience since they are not using a full hollowbody with heavy flatwound strings. A/B'ing with the Alto, it just sounds more natural and without the peak.

    that's not how it works in a small jazz club. Jazz clubs only recently started having house systems and can't afford an FOH engineer. The guy running the sound is a waiter or bartender doing it part time and typically at the beginning of the sets.
