I fixed my issue.
1. Uninstall Axe Edit and the USB driver (unplug the USB cable).
2. Reinstall the USB driver and then Axe Edit.

Ok, I know how to uninstall device drivers on windows but I put Axe Edit on my work MAC. How do you do that?

You don't have to install USB drivers on a Mac, so it's a non issue.

This was resolved by reinstalling the USB driver and Axe Edit.
I also have a FC6 and that was not the issue for me.

The Mac OS doesn't have any user installed drivers, so any recommended "fix" that involves reinstalling drivers is a no-go for the Mac user base. To say it another way, you don't have to (and can't) install any USB drivers to use AxeEdit on a Mac.

Hi all,

After reading all the posts here I thought I'd just cut out the middle man - so I did the following to get a flawless result after installing this new firmware (Thanks @FractalAudio it sounds so good!);
1; Uninstall USB driver
2; Uninstall Axe Edit
3; reboot
4; Install USB driver
5; Install new Axedit

Loose yourself in the flangers..

Updates work fine on Mac OS Catalina.

Just trying to isolate the issue... do you have a Fractal FC foot controller attached? That seems to be the make/break, at least as it pertains to AxeEdit use. The firmware itself seems pretty stable except for a couple quirks as noted earlier.

You're not alone... I'm having the same sluggish experience with Axe-Edit.

I tried the beta Axe-Edit update also, but it didn't help. I reinstalled the firmware, rebooted, shook a chick's foot, etc. still sluggish.

But hey, it still sounds great!

Update: Unplugging the FC-12 seemed to alleviate the issue, for now.

Same here. I can’t plug it back in though or I go back to sluggish response

don't turn on reverb stack if you don't want to poo yourself. make sure you aren't in a dark room or by yourself

I am a Mac. When I use my midi controller to change presets the axe responds instantly and axe edit is about 1/2 second behind.
Using RC1 and beta 12

Catalina.

I can confirm that although the reinstall improved things for me.
The lag goes away completely if I disconnect my FC6.

I do and once I unplugged it works fine.
