Wish Wish List: New Amps

The second post is not true.
Given that you don't have a Major for modeling, is there some set of criteria that you would want to see satisfied before modeling one, beyond the following:

  • having someone send you a Marshall Major
  • having a complete and correct schematic

What I'm getting at is: would there be an expectation that the actual amp from which you build the model met a certain set of specifications, i.e. contained original transformers (or as close as is possible), did not contain any modifications (e.g. the Dawk mods in the schematic posted earlier, or the purported Blackmore mods, etc.). Or some other set?

I don’t know for sure, but I suppose that the English Fireball 100 has several revisions and generations. The best sound Fireball 100 that John from Sonic Drive Studio has heard this -

I would like to simulate specifically this model. Who understands the ENGL AMP's what generation is this?

I have a Krank rev jr. that sounds nice. I poked around in it and I believe this schematic of the preamp is accurate. If there is interest I could take some time going through it in more detail.

Krank is cool. In the last messages, I attached several archives with schemes, there were KRANK that I took from forums where amplifiers developers copied schemes from real devices.

I dream a little. I hope that in the anniversary 30 firmware, we are waiting for some long-expected amplifier=).

IIC++ reissue and amplified nation and more two rock models.

I'm not a huge boogie fan, but I'd be down to try AN and Two Rock models.

I've played a few Amplified Nation amps, and they were a lot of fun. Two Rock might just be FOMO for me. But, there are some I'd like to try out. I really don't understand why....I never like amps set clean (as opposed to turning the guitar down for a clean sound), but I'd definitely try a Traditional Clean if I got the chance.

Every time I read a sparkling review of a Magnatone amp, it makes me wonder if we'll ever see one from Fractal. If I do a search on "wish" posts, I see lots of requests for various Magnatone models. With guys like Billy G and Slash playing them, it's not like they are really boutique amps anymore. I'm wondering if there is some particular reason we don't have a Super 59 or another (I'd be interested in the Super 15) model in our devices? Of course, the answer is most likely that they are too similar to some other amp already modeled, but I'd still like to hear it from Fractal themselves.

In that case, I’ve got a sick Esteban G-10 that’s the holy grail of tone. Dime the gain and this baby sings.

pic isn’t mine but it’s the same thing
Dude! You have an Esteban? Those things are so rare. They must sound amazing.

But I'm not sure I can scrape together the $35 to buy one. :)
