What Song is Stuck in Your Brain Today??

Comfortably Numb. I never learned the solos note for note (I always faked it :() but last night I got a hair up my ass to break down the entire song and learn all of it properly. It proved to be a more daunting task than I had anticipated. David Gilmour has such a great sense of phrasing and...

should i sell on craiglist or ebay "axe fx ultra"

No, I even clearly stated that the buyer pays actual shipping and insurance twice in the auction. He initially added $25 because that was the estimate he got. I brought it to UPS that night and paid the $63 never thinking that the buyer wouldn't cover the difference. Some people really are...

should i sell on craiglist or ebay "axe fx ultra"

I sold my Ultra on eBay for $1600. I paid $150 in fees and got screwed on the shipping (shipping was $63, the buyer sent $25, but since I had already shipped it, he told me eBay said he didn't owe me anything else). He ended up leaving me neutral feedback (with a threat of negative feedback)...

Non-Tweaker's Delight; A Story of Stock Presets

I will be the first to admit that I am not an advanced "tweaker". After owning an Ultra for 2 years and moving on to the Axe II in August, I feel very comfortable with the Axe-fx and how to manipulate it. I have been through every menu and advanced parameter and have tinkered with how those...

Trying to get a Mesa sound for recording the next Ra record

Ben, the Axe II is a beast to wrap your head around at first, but after a little time, you'll be flying through programming it. Be careful, though. You can get lost in the deep editing with features like tonestack swapping, 3rd party IRs, IR capture, all of the advanced editing like...

I think it would be cool to have some ZVex pedals in there. Most of those are difficult pedals to even get close to. I'm thinking about the Fuzz Factory, Mamoth and Machine. I'm sure I could get close to an Ooh Wah and Seek Wah, but it would be cool to have it on quick dial. Also, I don't...

I've owned both and they are not in the same world to my ears. The POD HD had very usable, decent tones. The Axe II is literally my entire dream rig in a box. The sound is so legitimate and organic.

Just realized I dont use AxeEdit

I'm the opposite. I think I used Axe-Edit about 2 times with the Ultra, but I keep it hooked up with the Axe 2 so I can easily audition patches and instantly recall from one bank to another. I've also found a way to manipulate Axe Edit with my iPad 2, so I leave that on my music stand for...

    Kenny Wayne Shepherd Tone?

KWS also uses Foxrox pedals for his fx. Fuzz/ProVibe/Octavia are from the Captain Coconut 2 and he also used the TZF Flanger and Octron. If memory serves, he also had an AnalogMan Clone Chorus (for slower Leslie type rotary effect) and a Teese RMC3 wah. I know he also had at least two 808...

    Ideas for expression pedals???

I use the Mission Engineering and Foxrox expression pedals. Both are great for what I need them for.
  73. P

Why dont my patches clean up with the volume knob?

How much gain is on the patches you are using? When I am playing through a patch where full guitar volume produces a nice grind, I can back off the volume to clean up just like a tube amp. Not sure what's going on with your setup.
