As an example on my Axe 8, and in the Axe-Edit, the Drive in the Preset is the T808 OD - on my Ipad it's showning the drive is the Ibanez T59. When I select to change the Drive, the T808-OD is not in the list. On start up it did get the Cabs and presets from the AXE8, but not the drives.

Thanks. The Amp and the Cab are both engaged. In Global settings 1. Power Amp Modeling = On 2. Cabinet Modeling = Active Tried various cables. All tested and 100% OK. Guitar sounds 'Normal' through my Mesa Boogie Mk V. I've got the manual out to make sure I'm setting the levels right...

The Global EQ is flat at 0. I'm pretty sure the rest are as factory set, but I must admit I don't know what the global settings should be to compare them to my set up. Is there a Global settings reset?

Yes. I followed the video, used exactly the same settings as the guitarist on the Amp and the cab. When he plays at 1.36 he sounds like a Marshall. I sound very clean. No 'hair' as the video guitarist calls it.

Many thanks. I've tried both floor and pole, I've tried every setting the DRX has to compensate, but with little success. The speakers are fine as we use them for FOH and fills when hard rigged. I'll see Wednesday how they perform with a bit of Band volume being pushed out from the AX8

Thanks. I tried the video for the Marshall Plexi 50 Jump. at 1.36 the guitarist plays just the amp and Cab. No alterations to a new preset. He sounds like a Marshall. I sound like any old Ultra clean Amp and cab. Any thoughts?

I think that would be a wonderful idea. I won't be able to get a 'band' volume recording until the studio visit next wednesday night, but I'll do it then and post it. I'll run the set up through my mixer (neutral) - otherwise I'll have to take it off Protools after it's been through my home setup.

FX8 with an Eventide H9

I've only tried using my H9 Max in the FXLoop block at the very end of the chain and on a separate pedal board, so I'll be interested to hear of your suggestions. I then bring it in or out from scene selection. I made all the cables up as per the manual ........ the FX works perfectly.

AX8 Scenes VS Presets - How best to play live sets

What a fantastic program the Fracpad has become. I've now got 10 sets with the song opening preset, scene, etc and depending on what guitar I'm using. No Fred Astaire on the AX8 switches. This makes it so easy. BIG fan of the AX8 and the Fracpad, worth every penny.

Thank you so much. It'll make the AX8 so much more gig friendly. It'll greatly enhance my ability to select rhythm sounds per song rather than get worried that the dead air time is ticking slowly by. All I need now is to link my Eventide H9 Max into the system and I'll die happy. Great product...

External Pedal Board Help Needed please

Thanks all. I got it worked out. The humbuster plug was not fully in place. I pulled the point with a set of pliers and managed to pull it forward an mm. Set the FX return to the Left channel and presto it works perfectly. No ground noise from the AX8. Between the H9 Max and the AX8 what more...

External Pedal Board Help Needed please

The test preset is as simple as you can get. Amp block 59 Bassguy. FXLoop Cab block 4x12 Basketweave TV Mix Input to output cables all connected. No amendments made to any setting, other than FXloop set to foot switch 1.
