Ok, finally found the solution to my problem. Simply plugging in my smart phone playing jam tracks into Input 2 on rear and putting an FX Loop block in Axe FX and routing it directly to Output solved all my problems. I knew the Axe FX was sophisticated enough to do something like this! Sweet...

Question; should I select Mic or Line level for my firewire interface? Right now, I have my Axe FX rear output (single/mono) going into my Channel 1 of Mixer via XLR cable. I have 1/4 outs going from mixer to inputs on my firewire interface. Not sure if I should be doing line or mic inputes...

Thanks very much for that....I will take another look. I really think the easiest solution is to simply plug in a second laptop into my mixer and just play my youtube videos on the laptop and feed the laptop audio into the mixer then into my audio interface. For sure this will work.

Agreed. I was getting "communication timout" errors with my Axe FX and it was a bad USB cable...I didn't know USB cables could go "bad" but apparently they can! In my networking technologies course, I learned to "always check physical first"....you can apply that rule to pretty much anything...

What effects you using in your DAW when recording with Axe FX?

Just curious what the "pros" are doing when they lay an Axe FX track down in your DAW. Here is my setup: Guitar > Axe FX >Logic Pro. Recording direct via USB, using the Axe as my audio interface in Logic. When I record a track into Logic Pro, it sounds good but never as good as hearing...

Just updated my Axe FX II to Quantum 1.06 wah not working

I have the expression pedal plugged into the back of the Axe FX direct; no MFC. I try to calibrate the pedal and go through the process, but then fire up a patch with the wah enabled and nothing happens. Before the update, everything was working perfect.

.....what's up with that? It was working before my update. It's a Morley Passive Voltage Control Expression Pedal. Any tips would be great appreciated. Also, can I update an entire bank of presets from an old backup? I can't seem to figure out who to replace an entire bank. Cheers

other's on the gearpage have suggested the same...I'll do that. Thanks. I downloaded Freman's patches but some of them left me with no audio output which was odd. So I downgraded my firmware to v11 as I wasn't sure if his v11 patches would conflict with my v12 firmware

I do realize that it's VERY early on in the process and yes I will certainly wait AT LEAST 3-4 weeks before deciding if the unit is a keeper. Looking forward to digging in and seeing what I can come up with.
