Yek - thank you! I was playing with the output level as opposed to the input level in the FX loop. When adjusting the Line 2 AND Main level in the block it works. Even though I need to add 30db in total to get it seemingly at unity.

Axe-Edit / MFC bypass states

Does not work with non-MFC controllers like FCB1010 (state change only updated once after initial modifier assignment in AE). I still hope that IA state change reflection is being properly incorporated into AE in the near future.

Exp pedal to control output 2 vol???

Works great here with a non-MFC midi pedalboard with attached exp pedal sending CC12, controlling OP volume on a Q12a FRFR connected to OP2! "copy OP1 to OP2" is set in the IO menu. Interesting to note is that triggering "bypass" from the board with CC13 mutes the output on OP1 but NOT on OP2...

Reading and savin block definitions

Same here - just uploaded FW 11.01 plus the new banks and now AE goes through that block reading thing on every start of AE - did not do that before the FW upload (Win 7 64 - used as admin). Not the end of the world, just a little annoying as the block reading takes a while.

Right on - forgot to mention that explicitely. And some manufacturers do in fact shield right from the factory. E.g. recent American Standard Fenders (and up, I would assume) are shielded with shielding paint. A good test is always to see if the hum increases when the strings are not touched...

The scrutnizer template works just using a midi cable

That would be great as a lot of us most likely run rtpMidi or something similar anyway for other tasks. BTW - while Midi Bridge is a great app, i.e. with rtpMidi it would not be necessary as you can include "regular" midi devices in and out in the config.
