Wireless + Graptech Ghost

Yes. You'll need a stereo Y-cable that has a TRS plug at one end and two TS jacks at the other. I use 2 wireless packs with my Ghost guitars but I have the guitars set up with separate jacks for mags and piezo.

I don't think anyone else offers labels for the GCP and I've been looking. Sukh, throw us a bone here. 1 week? 2 weeks? A month? 6 months? Just a rough idea would be cool.

Voodoo Lab - Ground Control Pro

I use the GCP and I really like it. Sure it could do more but it does a lot for a small price (on the used market) and is very well built. I used it with an Axe Ultra with no issues and now I use it with 2 GSP 1101's. The bottom row of buttons select presets on both GSP's, the middle row is IA's...

How to keep my wall warts in my furman?

Here's what I did. My rack is 3/8" ply so I screwed a small metal L-bracket in to hold the wall warts in the Furman. One leg of the bracket is screwed to the rack and the other leg is just tight against the plugged in wall wart. It cannot physically come out unless the bracket is removed...

mint axe-fx ultra on the way!

It's not that hard at all. I picked up my Ultra last year around Christmas and gigged it on New Years. It didn't take long to set it up. I used GSP1101's before that and it was easy figuring the Ultra out after years of experience with the GSP. The Ultra just does so much more and you can...

I'm sure some of you has seen this, Boston live in 79'

I found your Ultra patches here on the forum a few weeks ago and they do sound great. I had to tweak the cabs for my rig but they nail the sound. My band is doing a couple Boston tunes and I just wanted to thank you for your hard work in building these patches.

Boston'sMore than a Feeling with vocals and Something about you no vx

That's the best Boston guitar tone I've heard. Great playing also. You really nailed it. My band was doing 'Long Time' and I got pretty close to the guitar tone using the Marsha BE & HBE amps but yours sounds closer. What's in the patch?

Yep. I'd say that state of the art at the moment is AXE FX II>MFC101>Atomic CLR. That's a tough hand to beat.

Alex Lifeson Piezo Preset

Back when Alex was using the Hughes and Kettner zenTera, they put a zip file of all his presets on the H&K site. Maybe he will put his Axe FX stuff online sometime soon too. Alex is a good guy and probably would be cool with it.

I'm using an old Midisport 2x2 that I picked up on Ebay for $29. Works perfectly with Wndows 7.

Best Axe Edit version for Ultra?

I solved my problem. It was the Digitech Control 2 foot controller. It has to run through the GSP1101 to translate to MIDI for the Axe. The GSP was also working as a MIDI merger and while it passed along MIDI messages, it would not send Sysex messages. I just got a Ground Control Pro and hooked...

Ultra/Std still worth buying, vs Pod HD?

I just moved up to an Ultra a few weeks ago after 4 years with the GSP1101. The GSP was very good but the Axe kills it. To answer your question, an emphatic yes!

Isn't that the one I'm using? If I edit a preset in Axe Edit it won't save to the Axe FX (bad checksum). Ditto on auditioning or loading presets. It says 'bad checksum'.

I recently got an Ultra (running V11 firmware) and currently using Axe Edit version 1.0.191 which doesn't seem to work quite right. Is there a "best" Axe Edit version to use with the Ultra?

Jutst wonering

It will work if you plug the C2 into a GSP1101 as usual then go from the GSP MIDI out/thru to the Axe. I'm temporarily using that setup with an Ultra and it works fine.

That's pretty good. I just traded someone for an Axe Ultra (the Axe II just isn't in the budget yet) and this seems like it would be a bit nicer than a Ground Control Pro. I like that it will display the patch names and tuner from the Axe. I take it that it's built pretty well since you said...
