Labelling the controller

Hi, Just want to label my FCB1010 with which pedals do what, but can't find anything that will stick down, I've tried masking tape and normal sellotape, just wondering what you guys use?

Can't you already do this so long as the patches are next to each other? I don't have my axe in front of me, but in the I/O or Control menu's I'm pretty sure you can set a CC number for incrementing and decrementing the patch number and setting a start and end patch for the cycle.

Should an Ultra supply power to a Rocktron midimate?

Does the midimate have a 9 volt power supply? IF so, you'll need to plug that into the Axe-FX, just above the MIDI IN port is a power jack that your 9V power supply should plug in to.

Ok, so what would be the point of using headphones then? Purely from a practising perspective? Is there any way of building patches without playing at fitting levels? Would it sound closer through my home hifi system?

I'm a fairly novice guitarist though I've been playing for a long time and more or less always used Multi-FX pedals (Line 6, BOSS, even a Zoom) so have never really learnt how all the pieces of kit come together to make a guitar tone like I guess you would if you only had an amp for 6 months...

Ground hum

The hum changes when I move the guitar towards the axe-fx or towards the power supply, but not if I walk around the room, when testing just now, if the guitar is on full the buzz isn't too bad and is probably manageable but if I turn the volume down on my guitar to about 9.5 the buzz is much louder

OK, it wasn't the cable, I've tried three different cables and they all have the same symptom, I've tried the behringer headphone amp and can still hear the buzzing, I've plugged the axe-fx into my macbook and can hear the buzzing, the only thing that will stop it is touching the strings... I...
