the leon todd one, I guess it was my phone automatically translating it to spanish very horrible, mmaybe meta ai, weird stuff, on my Imac it sounds perfectly fine

And, considering cost of living, the price hasn't really gone up in the US. If anything, the Axe-FX is less expensive now than when I bought my first one in 2007.

Today the Mk III Turbo is $2400. The price in 2007 was $1750 for the original version. In today's dollars, that works out to $2340*. Considering the many advancements from Fractal since the first model, today's price is awesome.

* using the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) calculator, https://www.bls.gov/data/inflation_calculator.htm
I paid $1,500 Axe-Fx in 2009, and $2,300 Axe-Fx III MKII in 2022.

Is it just me, or am I hearing some extra clarity with my pick attack? I know the placebo effect can be thing, but I swear I'm hearing something more pronounced as I change how hard I'm hitting the strings. Like the notes are "poking out" more than normal. 🤔

"NOTE: The Preamp Tube Hardness parameter functions differently now."

Can you please elaborate on what it used to do and what it does now?

I don't know if it is unethical or abusive for the tube, but increasing its hardness to 10 on a edge-of-breakup 6G4 Super is extra hot.

Per the BLS, that's basically exactly the same price when accounting for inflation ($1500 in 2009 = $2,307.44 in 2025)

Which.. yeah, that's pretty awesome considering how much better the AxeFx III mk2 is compared to the original version.
Everything is supposed to get cheaper, that’s how technology worked for several decades, in fact things got cheaper less than expected due to recent high inflation
