    please report back when you decide. I played a Marshall tube power amp for years with my earlier AxeFx stuff. Loved it. Power amp modelling on always. I now use an old crown 350+ watt a side SS amp and am pretty happy. Wallop is key, and if I had a VHT amp like you, I would work it to death.

    That used to happen to me on the reg with my Axe2. Only while gigging, oddly. Made it really annoying to troubleshoot. I'm sure it was an auto-engage parm that I overlooked. I think it went away when I started a new main preset from scratch.

    I love the FAS amps in the Axe. It's a cheat code to a great Recto/Bogner or Hot Rodded Marshall sound. If the Axe was reduced to only FAS models, I'd still be onboard.

    I agree with Moke here. Playing along with tracks, can give you lots of perspective on your patches. It's close to what you will experience live...or at least a step closer. Lots can be accomplished with the mids and getting control of the low end.

    Warmoth guitar bodies - top wood options?

    I've had tons of Warmoth necks over the decades. Musikraft makes superior necks in the Charvel/Jackson realm as far as the carve. There's also something about the Warmoth Vintage/Modern truss rig that seems to clunk up the resonance. Also, the Warmoth strat headstock is wrong and ugly.

    DIN is just the name of the style of connector MIDI uses. The other guys are right. just get a USB to MIDI cable (actually an adaptor but who cares) Its so cheap, and is more flexible than trying to incorporate the AXE anyway.
