IRs York Audio Master Thread - Newest Cab Pack: KW 412 M25-SH

Third-party impulse response pack
While we're making wishes for the York Audio site, there's also no easy way to see the packs you do or don't own.

Once you're logged in, you can see a list of your orders, but it only shows the total amount (which i don't care about, don't know why anyone would), not which packs are in them, which would be useful for instance if you're moving to a new computer.

It'd also be great if you could filter the products list to show only ones you don't own. That'd be in your best interest too, since those are the ones people might buy!
Aaannd for the no-filtering reason and inconsistent record keeping on my part, i accidentally bought a pack i already had, pffft.

Curious to see if Justin has pondered trying out the Bare Knuckle Polypafs!

My order for a Mule bridge and VHii neck are on their way, and I’m stoked to try them out in my working man’s guitar.

Also, the York 212 M65 Cream pack with 57m-1 and 121-1 both set to unity is where it’s at lately. 😎
Goes great with the Vox Brilliant, the 2204 high, and HBE v2, but really almost anything!

I recently bought the Deluxe Reverb pack. Having a bit of a tricky time getting a lead tone that isn't too shrill on the top end with the standard Deluxe Reverb model. It's definitely a bright set of IRs!

Hello Everyone!

I had a rather slow day today and remembered that I’d been looking for speaker impedance curve settings for one of the glorious York cab packs, so I decided to gather them into one post.

Let me know if I’ve missed any or made any mistakes.

Note: if you see an asterisk (*) at the name of a cab pack, means that I could not find any Speaker Impedance Curve mentioned in the thread for that cab pack, so I’ve made a guess which SIC could be a good option.

York Audio KW 412 M25-SH - "I use the 4x12 Basketweave with the low frequency at 115Hz." - #1,411

York Audio MRSH 412 MV30-Dual Cab Pack - 4x12 Citrus or 4x12 Brit TV with the low frequency at 113Hz (From the manual) Also mentioned in #1,130
Also, try the 1960BV impedance curve - #1,545 and #1,546

York Audio FTWN 212 D120 - "My cab measured at 113Hz, and the 4x12 Solo 100 was the closest curve to this cab. I THINK that's the only curve from a front-loaded cab in the list. I think it sounds great with the stock resonance at 106Hz for a slightly tighter sound." - #823

York Audio VH+ 412 P50E - 4x12 Recto Slant - zedeloc: “Digging the VHT cab with the mesa slant impedance curve.” - #1,082

York Audio VLUX 210 P10R - Joe Bfstplk: “Found the P10R Vibrolux 2x10 works nicely with the Super 4x10 impedance curve for the Brown Concert 6G12.” - #1,059

York Audio 212 M65 Cream - "For the M65 pack, use the 2x12 Godzilla curve and set the Low Frequency to 103 Hz." - #1,130 - "As far as the impedance curve goes, try the Mesa 2x12 and the Zilla 2x12 with the low resonance frequency set to 103 Hz and see which one you like more. The Zilla may be a little closer than the Mesa, but I haven't checked. Really hoping that the Axe will be able to capture cabinet impedance curves someday." - #1,130

York Audio 212 DV77 - "For the DV77 pack, use the 2x12 Recto curve. The actual low resonance frequency is 107.3, so that curve is pretty close at stock settings." - #1,130

Other possible good matches - Joe Bfstplk - #838 and #861:

Really digging the DV77 pack for cleans and edge-of-breakup stuff.

Landed on the 2x12 Lead 80 curve, which has a 110 Hz resonance. Zilla 2x12 curve sounds good also.

York Audio PRNC 110 OX Lite - “I’d say 1x12 Deluxe Verb, 4x10 Bassguy, and probably the 1x10 Princetone SF.” - #791 and #793

York Audio 5153 412 VH20 - “I just used the 4x12 5153 impedance curve.” - #698

York Audio MTCH 212 ESD-V2 - 2x12 Match Chief (Close enough to my actual cabinet that Cliff didn't think it was necessary to add to the list) - #166

York Audio MES 412 OS-V2 - 4x12 Recto Large - #166

Also, check #1,799 - “The OS looked like Recto Straight, but the low resonance was around 100Hz. The Trad was closer to Recto Large with low resonance around 103Hz.“

*York Audio HWAT 412 FN50 Lite - nothing found - I guess one of the 4x12 Hipower SIC could be a good option.

*York Audio ORNG 412 V30 - nothing found - I guess the 4x12 Citrus could be a good option.

York Audio VX30 212 BLUE - “I'd go with the 2x12 Class-A 30w impedance curve.” - #1,869

York Audio FDMN 412 M25-V30 - 4x12 Friedman - #380

York Audio MRSH 412 T75 - “I don’t know if there’s a T75 curve in the Axe, so I just use the 4x12 Brit 800 for that.” - #812

*York Audio BMAN 410 P10Q - nothing found - I guess the 4x10 Bassguy or the RI (Reissue) SIC could be a good option.

Joe Bfstplk: “For the 4x10 Bassman P10Q, try the 2x10 Super curve....” - #2,014

York Audio MRSH M25 - 4x12 Brit Greenback - "I used the 4x12 Brit Greenback impedance curve" - #282 | Also mentioned in #1,181

York Audio MES 212 V30 - 4x12 Soldano - "... I experimented a lot with it today and weirdly ended up loving the 4x12 Soldano curve with that cab and just let ride. It's probably not the most accurate, but it feels really good." (from post #184) Also mentioned in #1181

York Audio AMPG 410 HS - 4x10 SV Bass - #166

York Audio VX15 112 Blue - 1x12 Class-A 15W - #166

York Audio MES 412 TRAD - 4x12 Recto Small (but I increase the high frequency resonance amount to 6 or 7) - #166

York Audio MRSH Blackjack - These particular cabs aren't listed, so I'll try the 4x12 Basketweave, Greenback, and 5153 and see which feels the best - #166

York Audio DXVB Verb Deluxe - 1x12 Deluxe Verb - #166 | Also mentioned in #1,181

York Audio Bogna 412 - "Go with the 4x12 Euro. That curve was taken from my Bogner cab, so it’s a perfect fit. Enjoy!" Also mentioned in #1,181

York Audio MRSH M20 - "I’d say try the 4x12 5153. The M20 is the same speaker as the EVH, so that’s probably the closest fit." - #1,136

- "Matt took the curve of my Marshall with 20w Greenbacks, but I don’t think it’s in the firmware as of now. So for that cab pack, I tend to use with the 4x12 Greenback curve or the 5153. I THINK the 5153 cab has the EVH signature speakers in it which are 20w Greenbacks, so try those options and see which one suits your amp better. The Greenbacks have a lot of natural sizzle to them, so you may like the high cut wide open or taking it down to around 12k." - #25

York Audio ZILA - 2x12 Godzilla (Taken from my actual Zilla Fatboy) - #166

You, Sir, are a gentleman and a scholar.

For the 4x10 Bassman P10Q, try the 2x10 Super curve....

I'm happy to present the newest Cab Pack to the York Audio collection. The Bogna 412 is based on a 1994 Bogner 4x12 with English made 70 watt Vintage 30's. The tone is absolutely massive! For those familiar with my new Cab Packs, the Bogna 412 finds it's place somewhere in between the Mesa and the Marshall. It has huge bottom end, that signature "Euro" midrange, and a clear and articulate top end. I'm going to post some more clips, but I need to go decorate some Christmas cookies with my kids. :)

It's on sale now at www.yorkaudio.co for a limited time. My launch sale is expiring soon, so act fast if you still want to save some coin.

I used the USA IIC++ model for this clip going into the YA BGNR 412 V30 Mix 01. I also really like this cab with the Euro Uber, SLO 100, Skull Crusher, HBE 2018 C45, and the Brit 800 models. I hope you guys like it. Let me know what you think!

By any chance do you still have this preset?
