IRs York Audio Master Thread - Newest Cab Pack: KW 412 M25-SH

Third-party impulse response pack
which specific ir do you reach for in that pack?

Pretty much ANY of the Scott Henderson Mixes ..., depending on how my ears are "hearing" that day .... But mostly these four ( 4 ) ( in NO particular priority order ! ) ....

  • YA KW 412 M25 57v-1
  • YA KW 412 M25 Mix FRED 1
  • YA KW 412 M25 57v-CNT ( very, VERY Bright ! )
  • YA KW 412 M25 SH 57-8

Anybody know if there is a difference between the special 1$ pack for the york audio mesa 2x12 vs the regular price mesa 2x12 cpack

Just picked up the following York Audio packs.
  • YA KW 412 M25-SH
  • York Audio MES 212 V30
  • York Audio MES 412 v30 V2
  • York Audio MRSH 412 MV30- Dual (I prefer mv30a, whats the difference between MV30a and MV30b, which do you prefer why?)

I am primarily using the PVH 6160 for all my hi gain sounds, which particular IRs would you recommend that will pair well with a 5150 type head ? please recommend specific IRs in those packs. I normally reach mix 01 and mix 02 but if there are ones i should check out please let me know. Happy Holidays everyone!

I love how the ORNG rounds out the 5150.

The 5153 cab sounds good with it, bright and crunchy with some rear to it, it’s a great all around cab.

In the metal world, a 5150 and Mesa Recto cab is THE sound.

The MV30 Marshall cab is also a good one. Per Justin, the 30a is brighter whereas the b is darker. They both are great sounding.

Many swear by the mixes but I find that I like the singles better.

My methodology is different than most. I use what I think I’ll like IR wise for dialing tone, then when I re-amp I do so without a cab ir, then use Cabinetron by TBT in the mix for cabs and final tweaking.

Black Friday sale on their site or at PA $59.
