A USB interface capable of "unlocking" Fractal's Firmware (perhaps a firmware lite?) that has a smaller footprint than any of Fractal's other hardware (maybe the size of a pedal/controller or HX Stomp format pedal board friendly) and is capable of running on multiple platforms iOS/Android/MacOS/Windows etc with minimal physical controls (output/input/preset) etc for around $399 sounds like a sweet spot to me and gives enough of a "taste" of Fractal's offerings to tempt you into "larger" offerings sounds good to me. Who am I kidding - whatever they release FOMO (fear of missing out) will get me every time!

that is kinda what I would like a best in class USB device for recording which hosts some of the Fractal blocks - IR block would be great and direct monitoring

Back on track... Although it's not a replacement for an existing product, maybe we'll get some form of a clue if we happen to see an unanticipated sale in the store? I think not, but you never know what our new waffle iron is capable of achieving.

There should be an effects block where at any given time you can activate NGGUP. That with a little detune and some autowah would be a show stopper.

I teach high school science, and we had a kid once who helped out with the announcements over the school PA each morning. The last day of his senior year, he replaces the recorded announcement with that tune. Rolled the whole darn school.

My guess/hope is it's a new controller. Like a bridge of the old MFC-101 and the Elgato Stream Deck XL.
I imagine it could have a look like a waffle with mini LCD displays. It could also be the ultimate solution to anyone's complaint about UI and FC options. Floor model or desktop model is anyone's guess, but I'm hoping desktop.

That would be super cool actually. some kind of small desktop controller. I'd be all over that. Latest Beta FW implemented midi clock....interesting..........i wonder........
