So my AX8 has "global graphic EQ" for each of its 2 outputs. Looking at the FM3 manual, it seems like it only has one global EQ, for out 1 (page 91 of the owner's manual).
I find that having EQs for the output is essential when playing out -- the flat response of "FRFR"s is not really all that flat. In fact, I often have to make drastic adjustments to the EQ -- a particularly-common scenario is I need to cut 500Hz by about 3dB, 250Hz by about 6dB, 125 by about 9dB, and lower by then 12dB. If I don't do that, the sound is boomy and muddy (particularly the sound of the low E-string). I sometimes also have to tame a bit 8000Hz and above.
In fact, I use them so much that I wish there was some support for storing and recalling presets for these EQs, so I would not need to dial them all the time -- I could also use that store/recall to load mono vs stereo setups...
Anyway, that is to say: the lack of EQ for output 2 in the FM3 seems to indicate to me that the feature is deemed marginal, and I'm curious as to why isn't this something that everyone needs all the time.
