FracTool - for power users only

It is entirely possible. It's a killer machine though. 4080 nvidia, 13k, 64gb ram. More likely a driver conflict. Many factors at play here including the 10 usb devices connected but regardless I have no other issues that show up. Only fractool. All my daw software is flawless. No issues with axe edit either.
I wish there was a debug I could look at that tells me something. I guess a log file would be my WISH request for the next version. Like I said when it works, it works. I use fractool most often to make a speadsheet of my cabs to presets so I know which IRs are unused. It works well when it connects. When it doesn't, it's a program that won't close and crashes my system. Axe edit connects every time so I don't think it's the axe driver.

@AlGrenadine
I did some more work on this today. I have an USB MOTU midi interface, and I notice that when Fractool starts up it broadcasts out looking a Fractal unit. I saw the MOTU lights flicker as Fractool started up. What would happen if the MOTU didn't respond properly?
I'll continue to try to pinpoint things. thanks

Nothing
It sends the fractal sysex to get the connected model. If no answer nothing happens

Ok thanks. The MOTU is usb but is 5x5 DIN. It receives the message via USB and then forwards it out all 5 DIN ports. Just checking to see if it's related. Regardless, I'll unplug it every time I use Fractool to see if I ever have problems again.

I left my MOTU plugged in and Fractool couldn't connect. Yanked the USB cable out of the MOTU and Fractool immediately connected to the AXEFX. Then the BSOD came. Everyone say goodbye to the MOTU Micro Lite. I never liked it anyway. I'll be trying out the Nektar Midiflex 4 for my legacy DIN connection needs.

Ok, I was just hoping that you could point me to a log file to see what was happening.
Did you install the latest FAS driver set. I encountered difficulties on W11, and since reinstalling the former driver apparently these difficulties ceased. But did not try to reinstall the new driver set, nor have used my Presonus i1824c sound device since a few days . The Presonus driver seemed to be fragile with W11.

thanks for the response. I abandoned the MOTU and am now using a driverless Midiflex (no drivers needed) Currently using the latest FAS driver for the ax3. No issues yet in this combination, time will tell.

Thanks also, will have to check again with the Presonus powered up. Might very well be the UC control service that gets in conflict.

Maestro, here is a little feature wish 🙏

At the Batch Setter, include a conditional at the "Reset block and save" function (currently, only the "Set", "Increase by" and "Decrease by" functions have conditional)

That would be useful with the new Axe- FX III firmware 25.04 release, to soft-reset the amp block only at the presets that are using the Plexi 100W or 1959SLP models.

Not essential, but interesting for the lazy asses :D

Will try to :)
But i'm also a lazy ass :)

I would consider this an abandoned project at this point.
It simply doesn't work properly any more.
Comparing parameters, they simply don't match in many areas. As an example, looking at the cabs from a live preset and the actual .syx file :

consider it like you want ^^
It shows the 0-based parameter value, while AxeEdit shows a 1-based, but internally the parameters are 0-based... So if it's too difficult for you then this tool is not for you

your welcome for the money. Nice attitude. this wasn't the only parameter that I've brought up. I know it's tough to keep up with the pace of code upgrades but there are many parameters that need updating that are not off by a metric of one.
