That's not the issue you reported ;)
You said you couldn't go at the bottom, not it was going back up when releasing the finger...
A precise bug report is the key ;)

Hello, I just bought an iPad Pro M4 and one of my first purchases was the FracPad. I am running into a couple of issues, though.

Issue 1:
  • I get into the presets screen by tapping the (…) top right icon.
  • There is only one preset showing there, the one that I is currently active on my FM9, that also loads on FracPad upon launch. Let’s name this “PRESET 1”
  • I tap the top left icon (circle with arrow) and this loads all my presets from the FM9
  • Now that I have all the presets available, I tap on a different one (PRESET 2), in order to load it. Instead of loading the new preset, FracPad overwrites it with the previous one (PRESET 1).
  • Now I have two presets with the name and settings of my initial one (PRESET 1) and PRESET 2 is gone.
  • If I navigate through presets by clicking the -/+ icons, there is no PRESET 2 there any more either.
  • On the presets list screen, though, PRESET 2 appears like it still exists, but when tapping on it, PRESET 1 loads. Possibly in order to get the “modified” preset names, the preset list needs reloading (?)
  • I also tried restarting the FM9 hoping that PRESET 2 was not lost (by becoming PRESET 1 but not being saved), but that was not the case, unfortunately.
Maybe I am doing something wrong or possibly missing something, since I have been playing with the app for only about an hour or so, but being a developer myself, this feels more like a bug.

Issue 2:
  • Connection via a usb cable seems smooth
  • When connected via bluetooth (WIDI Master) the app frequently freezes and needs restarting.
Could this be because:
  1. iPad Pro M4 is fairly new and new update is needed
  2. This is common with all bluetooth connections
  3. WIDI Master is not the best BT MIDI option (Yamaha MT-BT01 is recommended)

Hi,
For the issue 1 it seems you're clicking the Save To button, so yes it overwrites :)

Click the preset number,

then you'll get the preset list, which you can refresh with the refresh button :

For the issue #2, yes it's widi related... Their firmwares don't handle sysex correctly and mixup data... Try their most recent firmware maybe...

Oh wow! First of all thank you for the super fast reply.

The "To" button goes hand in hand with "Save"... Ok, it makes sense. I thought it was just "To... (a preset)" and it was there for being able to select a preset. I'm so dumb..

Will try updating the WIDI firmware too. Thank you very much.

A WIKI is in the works for FracPad, that would help ;)
But i have no date for its release, summer is here and the computer gets less attention ;)
 
I have dowloaded fracpad 3.51 on my Mac. It crashes as soon as I start the app.
I'm on Sonoma 14.5

EDIT.: I have tried turning off the BT before starting the app and it is indeed working.

My question is:
I'm about to purchase a Yamaha MD-BT01 for my FM9. I know it works as a transmitter to the iPad with Fracpad. However, can I use it to control the FM9 Edit directly?

Hi
It should work, but may be very very slow as FM9Edit assumes a USB connection
