Yes,,, the Brootalz Amp still does it,, That is how I remember it acting on my amp too. and mine WAS an old one from the early 2000's. I knew I wasn't too Crazy.....lol It still did something odd when you turned it all the way down though I just cant remember what.....lolWhile not a frequent user of the Savage model, I tinker with it on and off and I confirm what Dave mentioned: In the past the presence knob in the axe acted different than the current one. It acted pretty much like it does on the FAS Brootalz now, the amp would get more middy and louder turning it down. This is also noted in the Wiki for both models.
I am not saying I don't believe Cliff when he says the model is accurate, but somewhere in the past something in the model in the axe must have changed, and Dave, I think your memory serves you right...
Anyway, thanks for checking and for all the work! Time and time again!
I'm gonna guess this too. I even remember back in the ULTRA days sending in my Schematic for the Savage and was super excited when it finally got modeled in the Axe-II even back then as it had been such a permanent part of my rig up until then. When I got my Axe-III it got close enough that I sold my real Savage and didn't look back. But over the years though there have been so many great amps added that I've found super awesome.. some of the little quirks of the real amp are a bit fuzzy now since I've slept since then....lolI'm assuming it was modelled after an older savage in the past (and that older savage was involved in the happy accident that was the Brootalz) but was updated to a newer production Savage sometime later (but the Brootalz was left alone to not mess with it given it has nothing to "correct" as it's not a real amp).

Thanks for checking it out Cliff. I knew I remember it having that quirk to the presence in the old ver, and my real one,, the info on the resistor in the newer ones explains allot. I know it's unlikely to get it added back in,, but is there any way you might could add the Brootalz tonestack to the available list in the Tonestack Type dropdown menu in the preamp section?
