Axe-Fx III Firmware 27.00 Release

1. The release notes are not "very focused on affecting the high gain amps." In fact the modeling improvements (and the release notes) are focused on edge-of-breakup.
2. Neither of those amps have a cathode follower so you wouldn't notice any difference there.
3. The improvements to the power amp are most noticeable when the power amp is driven hard. Those amps are typically run with the MV low so, again, you wouldn't likely notice any difference.

For those two particular amps I wouldn't expect a significant difference between 26 and 27.
For me, the USA MK V Green with MV pushed is such an amazing pedal platform!

I've been hanging on to my real Mesa amp when on tour, returning it to the AxeFX via a load box, but these recent amp modeling improvements are fast pushing me into 100% Fractal modeling territory.

Edge of breakup is where it's at and I'm loving what I'm feeling.

Thank you!

I wanna flash this right now, but I will wait till the hurricane passes over. I dont want to brick my Axe fx lol
When I was at UC Berkeley in 2000, there was a Japanese fellow from Cornell University that presented a global weather model that has tracked perfectly for the last 24 years.

2025 to 2035 is going to be as epic as this firmware update.

Imagine at least two hurricanes that take up the lower one third of the US with sustained on land wind speeds of over 250 MPH.

Otherworldly ... if I lived on the eastern side of the Rockies, I'd move now.

West of the rockies? I'd honestly rather live underwater, thanks .

Super quick rip with the envelope filter updates and it really is super spot bang on amazing.

Dial back your volume a touch to keep it soft and dark. Roll it all the way up to get more of synthy high end the occasional growl as it decays. Just like the real thing! I love it.

This is with my Silver Sky on the neck pick up. Pickup character is retained in spades as well as you move through them with the filter on.

The Mix mode is also really cool! Try it out!

Over the past several updates the JTM45, which was already great, has become one of my favorites. It is so responsive to touch and volume. It is a joy to play.

I've always found the JTM45 to be very responsive as well but have always had a bit of a hard time taming the low end. What IR are you using with it?

And as you can see I've got a bunch of low cut on there.

I still have to be careful with the low end, especially with humbucker-equipped guitars.

But I love that JTM45 model sooooooo much.

The JTM45 and the Super Verb Vibrato are my two mainstays now. Have been for a couple of months.

Big high cuts too.
Mics pretty close.
Care to share the preset?

Awesome...thanks for this. I'm going to dial in your settings/cabs tomorrow and experiment for sure.
