Axe-Fx III Firmware 27.00 Release

I'm using:

And as you can see I've got a bunch of low cut on there.

I still have to be careful with the low end, especially with humbucker-equipped guitars.

But I love that JTM45 model sooooooo much.

The JTM45 and the Super Verb Vibrato are my two mainstays now. Have been for a couple of months.
Very cool ... How do you get your Cab layout to only show the two cabs . My AxeEdit defaults to the traditional four in a row cab layout ? Thanx .

Do we need to reset the amp block for the new updates to take effect in existing presets?
There is nothing mentioned in the Release Notes.

The betas for 27 mentioned 2 specific models that need to be reset.

If you didn't load a beta and reset then you'd probably want to for presets using those models.

Edit:

Maybe I'm misremembering... I can't seem to find the amps...

Edit 2:

I guess I was thinking of FM9 and FM3 which say this:

  • Updated Plexi 100W and 1959SLP models. A soft reset of the Amp is required to load new values.

Edit 3:

That was from 25.04 on Axe Fx III...

So, no reset required unless you came from a firmware prior to 25.04

I’ve had the hardest time getting the plexi amps to work for me, until this update. Somehow everything just seems better. The Mutron is too much fun. The new tuner is working great! I didn’t think it could be made better.

I don't know what side effects this update has, but the JAZZ 120 now sounds amazing, even crunchy (never loved it before). :)

sounds good. Beefy, round mid-gain mids.
Bouncing between different SICs I don't hear as much impact on the overall sound.

Bypass/Kill Dry behaviour.....

I'm using the Kill Dry function quite a bit recently using Mix as a level control for the wet signal.

With this FW I noticed that Kill Dry has a different relationship to the block's Bypass mode.
(Or maybe it was always like this and I never noticed)

Basically, if I bypass a block (Thru Mode) that has Kill Dry enabled, I get no output from that block (as if Mute in/out was the mode).
If I turn off Kill Dry then normal bypass rules apply again.

Bottom line: with Kill Dry enabled Thru mode bypass does not act as expected.
Is this intentional, that Kill Dry overrides bypass mode(s)?

Seems counter intuitive to me.

Anyone else seeing this?

Here a basic test preset: Bypass Delay 1 and no feed to Reverb until Kill Dry is turned off.

Cheers

Hello,

With my fx III , it all works very well.

The problem may be elsewhere.

How would I trigger the envelope filter or auto wah from my FC-12? Do I need to add a switch? Any information would b greatly appreciated. Thank You very Much in Advance.
