Axe-Fx III Firmware 27.00 Release

I've just updated from beta 2 and whilst the extras are nice I'm most stoked with the modelling improvements. The Powerball model really came alive, it seems, and has become my go to high gain monster. To me it is somewhere between the Stealth Red and Recto which were the models I used to switch between the most. As we aren't supposed to say thank you I'm gonna shout it, THANK YOU! And that is how you bend the rules...

Ahhhhh, I love the smell of a freshly minted release version OS in the mornin'!! Smells like victory!! 🤘

OS v27 is a true milestone in modelling history! I still can't believe my ears and fingers....breathtaking reality, everything feels so right and so inspiring!

An outstanding job by Cliff and the whole crew, eternal thanks to all!

That's exactly how I perceived the "Engl" vibe!! The cross pollination of those 2 amps. The Fireball even adds a touch of "Marshall" to the mix with a Mid. switch. Hell yeah man I need to revisit my Powerball preset now!

Before I updated from FW26 to FW27, I recorded 2 tracks from my dual amp setup (doubled it in the „old school“ way) for a part of a new song. After the update, I opened Axe edit again and recorded the same tracks again. There was no audible difference to the FW26 tracks (left was a guitar/cab combo with the Engl Savage1 and right there was the 5153 Stealth Red)
So my question is: Shouldn’t there at least be differences in signal peaks or frequency? I‘m asking because most people here were talking about biiiiig difference and I don’t hear any difference and the release notes were very focused on affecting the high gain amps.

I've been playing it a lot since the beta and so have forgotten how it was in the before times but I'm sure it is denser now. I used to use it for a thinner 90's Valvestate kinda vibe. I'll have to try the Savage again. Then again, there are a lot of amps I'll have to try again. I haven't tried the Bognors or Dizzys since many firmwares ago. So many models, so little time... :)

If you tame the low mids, The Uberschall is basically a "Ride the Lightning" amp to a T (with the right ir) So is the JCM 800 mod!
