Funny you should say that because to my ears, at least in the heavier gain tones, the effect is exactly the opposite. The high end is a lot more pleasing, almost as if there's already a Low Pass at 14k or so built into the tones. Here's a quick A/B between my main high gain rhythm tone (using the CCV 2B):

The first half is 25.04, and the second is 26.00beta. Levels have been normalised for all tracks in my DAW to avoid any Fletcher-Munson funkiness, and both takes are re-amps of the same (kinda sloppy) double-tracked DI recording.
I posted that right after playing the AC30 Brilliant and Tweed Deluxe...both of which can be painful in real life...This firmware seemed a little brighter on those...so I just made them less bright lol.

Just sat and played the Vibroverb AB today learning the correct way to play Riviera Paradise (learning is key here)…and holy shit I lost an afternoon because I was just lost in how amazing it was.
Vibroverb AB - believe it’s an Ownhammer VV IR - Studio Spring…

I hard tailed my strat, so I’m gettknf no love with the trem bar…

Thank you, Cliff. This thing makes me want to play.
I've checked out your other stuff on Soundcloud - you make the Axe sound absolutely stellar no matter which amp or guitar it is. I really envy you and wish I had a similar talent. 🤘

Well, thanks, man. Im not really even sure what’s on that page - kind of a clip warehouse…so probably a lot of mic and comp comparisons.
I’m a mediocre guitar player…but I was just telling my friend last night - the Axe is making me better. Because I start playing and I can’t stop. I’m p..p..practicing lol. And I can totally tell I’m getting better every time I pick the guitar up again.

This just shows how our perceptions of ourselves are warped. I think when you practice dilligently, you always sound mediocre to yourself, because hopefully you're usually working on stuff you can't already do easily. So naturally you'll always feel like you're struggling, becuase that's what the best kind of practicing is, a struggle! Joe Satriani said (and I'm paraphrasing from memory) that we never sound as good as the guitarist in our heads. But anyway, you don't sound mediocre to me; you sound great.

OK ... not doubting what you are saying.

Given that the JC 120 has no glass within 500 miles of it maybe it would make more sense for any/all of the pre-power Tube related parameters to be greyed out so as not to confuse people (?)

I've never used any JC 120 model in any modeler so I always assumed that it would never have any glass-related parameters associated or adjustable to it (?)

Just my limited 2c worth :)

Ben
But it's an AMP block, so it has all the amp block parameters. And they affect things. You can adjust them and they'll make changes. You can change them and see if you end up with a sound you like. It's a solid state amp packaged in a tube amp shaped model, and so it gets the parameters that go with it.

With the complaints of noise, it sounds like something on the model might have gotten out of whack and need to be corrected. But the fact that it has tube settings isn't the cause of the problem. That's just a byproduct of the way the AMP block works.

I am loving this period of rapid modelling evolution on Fractal, man, Cliff is on fire!!

I'm rolling with the changes. Every update has made a change ultimately for the better, despite those changes altering what's in place on occasion. For me the 2203 is locked in right now on 26 with the obligatory adjustments that come with model improvements...but I said that 2 full revisions ago.

Thanks Fractal, no issues here, it just keeps getting better and better!!

i have a feeling by the time we reach the final release of this beta, the list of updates/ changes is going to go up by a lot more.

Can someone advise me I can only install the new dynacab without installing new FW beta?
They work together.

It's not clear that pre-26b would recognize the new DC file anyway... it would likely at least cause cab (DC) selection alignment issues.

Which Mutron pedal? I would love the Mu-Tron III+ emulated. It would be tough. I have an original, but I won’t take it out.
Can’t remember which thread, but cliff mention he got his hands on an old Mutron Envelope Filter and reverse engineered it. He just hadn’t had time to code it yet.

Back on this thread, I am over the top having a Celstion G12H in a dynacab. I’m not crazy about the 85Hz version. Is it possible for me to simulate the vintage 55Hz resonant-peak version of this speaker?
