Somehow I checked the utility page, and it said version 7.00 Even thought I did download 7.01. I downloaded it again, and now it said 7.01 in the utility menu. Now its working!

Holy crap - shimmer drive --> 5F8 --> Deluxe IR + verb/delay = total badassery. I LOVE IT!!!

I'm speechless here . . . this is just a *maintenance release*?!?!?!

Hi,
what exactly means "lock ups?"
I had an axe/mfc name timeout issue a couple of days ago,i sent in my axe and mfc already but could that name timeout issue be connected to that bug?

It might be, could be a hardware issue as well. Was your's an XL? I have an XL that has had time out issues with various firmwares including Q7.00. I have an older XL that has never had a problem so who knows what the real issue is with mine, firmware, hardware of both. It has happened with 2 other firmware versions. I'm really hoping 7.01 will fix it!! Q7.00 sounds ridiculously good so I can't wait to get home & try Q7.01! Thanks to Cliff & all at Fractal for what they do!!

Perhaps FAS could manufacture an analog Shimmer Drive pedal based on the model. Retail for $500+, leave the TGP cork sniffers to bicker in perpetuity as to whether it's as real as the digital original. j/k
