5 Minute Tones - FM3

@strumminsix congrats! Honestly I'd start with the factory presets and just enjoy poking around for a while, so many great sounds!

@zappafranco I'll try dig that preset up, provided I saved it.
Thank you Leon, that would be great. Because why not trying the Sequenced Autowah for Eat the question for example. Zappa was famous for his Cocked Wah, but this has a Dynamic Wah and who knows maybe it was an Autowah - listen to the slow motif at about 5:00.
AustinBuddy has a Preset called Vaughnebees which comes pretty close to this sound if you ad a Vox Wah.

Can you help me get a fatter/thicker clean tone ? I think it might be my guitar, but it sounds so thin on the low strings. I have a Fender American Deluxe Strat with the N3 pickups in it. It so so extremely thin sounding on the lower strings that i'm not sure what to do with it. Something i can do in the FM3 or should i just get new pickups ?! Which ones do you recommend ? Thank you!

If anyone wants to see an in depth video on how I roll this all into a live preset, here you go

Man, how can you slap the knob to go back to previous position (nah, It won't be there) and just press save afterwards? :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy:
I avoid breathe near a virtual knob! I need treatment! So jealous of you... :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

Sounds glorious, indeed! Awesome as always!

Just following up on the SPDIF question I had earlier. I bought a $15 Coax to Optical converter to use with my Appolo Twin. Works great and costs less than one decent XLR cable. Highly recommended!!

OK, in the meantime I still haven't used the sequencer, but I got very pleasant results controlling the LFO Rate with Note Values. For example half note values if you want to get busy and four note values if you want a really long sweep because one is getting pretty soon tired of a too busy Wah.

I am very happy with it!

OK, I am lazy, but now I did it on my own ;) attached you find the Sequenced Autowah Block that Leon describes in his great Video. For me that was an eye opener, because I always thought that Autowah would not be such a great effect. Now I know better.
This block was made on the AXEFX3. So for FM3 you might need to convert it...

@zappafranco, I don't know of a way to import a block unless it is part of a preset. Can you upload a preset with the autowah block in it?
@giannishreds I have to admit that I am also not aware of a way to import an block, sorry I thought there is a way, but anyway. Here you go. This is a modified Preset from AustinBuddy. But I changed the amp, the IR to a factory IR and modified a lot of other things, so I hope that he doesn't mind sharing this patch. Scene 1 has the sequenced autowah. I also have to admit that when I tried to use my autowah block in another preset, the autowah was not moving the way it should be. But I don't want to confuse you. I hope that the preset works for you, that you are able to save the autowah block and then use it in another preset. If you click in Scene 1 on the wah, the wah control must be moving by itself, because the sequencer is controlling it. If the wah control doesn't move, something is wrong.

Great Job Leon! As a guy who played the bar circuit in the late 80's, those were some of the sounds I heard every night. As a bassist I didn't always know what the guitarist was using, but those were the sounds. I seem to remember the little GK lunchbox type amp that could get those chorusy (is that even a word?) cleans. I so can't wait for the FM3 to hit my door. (still waiting...) Your videos are the "cheat codes" that will make this hack guitarist sound great. (Is there a level below hack? If so that's probably me. :D )Thanks again. Cheers!
