    Recommendations for FM9 live speaker/amp.

So difficult to answer. FWIW, I used QSC K12 for the last 7 years and was happy with the sound, but I wanted an “Amp Cab” look on the stage. I bought the Fender Tone Master FR-12 two weeks ago and I love it! With my PRS CE24, Loaded with Suhr PT Thronbuckers, via the FAS Friedman BE100 it sounds...

    Friedman BE 100 VS. Recto 2 FM9

I’ve bever played the real version of either amp. I really like the FM9 version of the Friedman BE 100. It has a very “real amp in the room” feel. But why then, does the Recto 2 FM9 sound like there’s a “blanket over the cab”? Is there a way to correct this or is this what it should sound like...

[solved] MacBook is not recognizing my FM9

So this is new… This suddenly popped up. If I try to move it to trash, it asks for my laptop password, which I wont do. Other applications seems to work fine. Could this disrupt the FM9 Editor or is it coincidental?

[solved] MacBook is not recognizing my FM9

    1. I do see the FM9 in my Sound Menu 2. I do not have a DAW open. (I only have grgeband on my MAC) 3. The Fractal Bot does the same thing. It will not open, it just bounces in the tray.

[solved] MacBook is not recognizing my FM9

I loaded the newest Editor and it will not open. It just "bounces" in my tray. I've had this FM9 for about a month, no problems with it or the Editor. Checklist: My FM9 works fine. How do you focus your tone building with your modeler?

I've used FAS gear since they opened. For live gigs, here's my approach: Build the patch at "live playing" volume Keep in mind that sometimes, there's a difference between the tone you PREFER, and the tone you NEED, in order to sit in the mix, to serve the band Your patch is rarely going to...
  26. richb

This is why you are not sounding as good live as you sound at home

We do the same thing. We rehearse with our live rig. Also, if we are using a house rig, we ask that all EQ's are set flat, then ask them to "dial it in" (which is ALWAYS subjective) during sound check.

How Many Songs Does your Cover Band Know?

About 60. We try to tailor the list to the gig. more country, more rock, etc. Lately, we're trying to learn 1-2 new songs a month. BMI, ASCAP, etc. suing bars?

    Dead time between songs ideas???

Great topic. My singer is obsessed with dead space between songs. I have to change guitars sometimes. I bet I can do it in 15 seconds, max. He says it feels like an eternity. I think there needs to be a balance between "dead air", banter, mashing up one song into another, etc. I will qualify...

Surprise issue w wah pedal at last nights show - seeking advice

I experienced the same thing. In fact, it happened at a gig on Saturday night. I can't figure out why as these are the same presets I've used for months.
