    Good point. I found out a friend was on longterm zpack and no effect on hearing. I’m thinking I have a eustacian tube malfunction. I can’t get the problem ear to pop at will like I can the right ear. Will probably call my PCP tomorrow to see about a steroid injection.

    @SJB I was reading that the most successful treatment is a mix of oral and injected steroid. Think I’ll call my general doc to get me a referral. This is important enough to get a second opinion.

    I think I’d need to apply low cut on my presets with the HS8 versus my HS7. The HS7 also has a bump around 700-1000hz which probably sounds good on guitar but may make it fatiguing for listening to music.

    Cliff made a statement recently that he uses measurements and doesnt only trust his ears. Bottom line for me is that Fractal has been close enough to tubes without the shortcomings for years. Liking 18.03 firmware. The 15X firmwares had a sound I liked too.

    My JCM-800 was modded to sound like a high gain Fender Bassman. Not on purpose but that was the result of messing with the tone shaping. If I remember it was only 3 caps that were changed.

    Windows 10 computer bricked tonight

    I was able to boot from a Windows10 install DVD and get to a c: prompt. My C: boot disk is completely intact. I can see all my files and directories. I think Windows boot manager is corrupted. This is a newer PC from 2 years ago. I think its booting from UEFI.

    Exactly this. Follow Cliff’s postings and you will come to understand why things are the way they are. And you understand where he’s coming from. I’m amazed he got low latency convolution at 1.37 seconds. And the second you let up with the innovations someone else is going to pass you by.

    Agree to disagree. The box is not user serviceable. Get over it. And the Mk.1 gets the same firmware as the Mk.2. Only difference is screen and NVM space. And the CPU hit is 12.5% per fullres IR. And you can get close with the reverb blocks.

    An FM9 is the solution here. It lets me make my Axe3 tones portable to any room in the house or deck. I just need to bring monitor speakers with it or wirelessly send the FM9 audio back to the cranked up monitors.
