    No matter how many IRs you blend they can all be mathematically transformed to a single (two for stereo) IR without any difference in sound. CabLab can do this.

    The S4R headphones are closed-back and sound isolated to prevent the backing track to spill into the recording (when recording with a microphone). The S4X are open back, so they will leak sound, and they do sound better (= more balanced).

    I use the BMT controls in the cab block a bit. If I have an IR that is close I will happily use BMT to get the last bit of the way. What slope do you use in the high/low cuts. I think the gentler slopes are most musical.

    I really like the idea, but I've never used it in any of my presets. One reason is that its applications are not very intuitive for me. When I want to achieve a certain sound, I build it first in my head using the building blocks I know. Dynamic distortion is not one of those.
